New Grand Floridian Villas Use Year Prior Year Points on Direct Purchase

Buying GFV Direct but am not being offered prior Use Year points (asking for later Use Year), despite the same condo association with current points. Seems this can be done based on new DVC rules amended on March 8, 2019 Article I Paragraph 1.20. Annual Dues will be prorated based on opening date June 20. If Use Year is later in the year, would be seem reasonable to apply prior Use Year point since paying the "full prorate." Thoughts?

They are not offering past use years points only use years for 2022 and forward

They cannot offer points that are not available for booking. If they did, there would be some DVC members who would be unable to use their points, because the total points in the system would be greater than the number of room-nights available.

Since of of June 20 the points are available for booking, would closing in July or later would would able to get prior Use Year?

No. They have decided to start the new points deeded to BPK with 2022.

Anyone who has a UY after June 20th, will not pay any dues for 2022 until the UY starts.

I bought both June and Dec UY points. For my June UY, my dues will be prorated from June 20th, the opening of the resort since my 2022 UY will have started.

But, for my Dec UY, I will pay only one month of dues for 2022 since I don’t have use of those points, without borrowing, until Dec 1st.

Yes (agreeing with you), I am in the December use year, so my new points accrue Dec and I owe one month of 2022 dues.
