Just got off the phone with Rosa at Paramount Travel and she said they had just gotten the word that they would be continuing to sell the Fun in the Sun Tickets. The new tickets will expire in April 2005. Cost is $311 per adult and $251 per child plus a $15 mailing charge. She said they had to be ordered, they would get them next week and they would ship out during the week next week.

I am so excited. This was the only detail left for our upcoming trip. I am going to love the flexibility of going in and out of the parks as much as we want while we are there.

Pam

costwise they seem about the same as a 7day plus ticket. we're going in feb from sat-sun.

the 7 day plus means we can use the days or not and then save them.

this expires after x days?

any other differences? plus items? dq?

thanks!!

This has made my day! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I am so excited. I need to order them before they change their minds! ::yes::

Now my DH and I can spend time in DQ and he can try to beat me at Frogger! :teeth:

These tickets are great if you are planning on going for more than a week and plan to use all of the parks. We are going for two weeks and plan to use DQ, and both water parks on multiple occassions. This is cheaper than buying an annual pass for us, as we won't be going back next year. This way, we don't have to chose which 7 days we could go into the parks. I think if you are only going for one week, the 7 day PHP are a better deal, but for us this is the way to go.

Pam

P.S. we also get to choose a character breakfast at one of the hotels (GF, Poly, Contemp or BC)

What are fun in the sun tickets? Where can I get info and a site for them?

Thanks!

I don't believe the info is online. You have to call. We used them last year and they were great. It includes water parks for the 30 days, PL for 30 days, dq for 30 days, a visit to kennedy space center and a few other non-disney places. I assume they will be the same as last year but not positive.
Yes these tickets expire but you have to look at what you are going to do. We were there for 2 weeks so they were great.

The tickets also include a voucher for a free character breakfast.
Our group used the vouchers at Cape May Cafe and the the Donald's Breakfastaurous.

I used PHP passes on our first trip, never again. We couldn't go to Disney Quest and we had to be careful not to waste any of the days.

With the FITS passes we were free to come and go as we pleased. I didn't mind going to a park just to see a parade, or to just ride one ride. We were able to do Disney Quest and Pleasure Island several times.

For those of you that have used a FITS pass could you tell me if you are mailed the actual ticket or a voucher that has to be activated once you get there? If it is a voucher where do you activate it and won't they need an ID. If they are not intended for US use as mousesavers indicated will a US citizen have problems activating them? Thanks for any info.

I just used these during our Easter trip. I ordered them from ticketmania.

0 There were 3 sections on the voucher. The top part was for the Disney passes, the second part was for Kennedy Space Center and the other attractions. The last section is the breakfast voucher.

I took the voucher to the guest services window outside of MK. I had to show the CM ID and sign the bottom of the voucher. I used my NY ID without any problem. Three days later my sister, her husband, and her SIL turned their vouchers in at the same place. Once again we had no problems. The kids just needed to sign the vouchers.

We had to do the finger scan when we entered the parks. The kids under 10 didn't have to do the finger scan. A few times our passes didn't work. I was never asked to show ID to prove that the pass belonged to me. My BIL was always asked to show ID when he had trouble with his pass.

Thanks for the info it sounds like those are the passes for us.

Just called Paramount and ordered ours.

They said they should be shipping them in a week.

Another detail that is completed!

Anyone know if Ticketmania has them?

We ordered our FITS passes from them for our April trip, they have free shipping. I'd like to use them for our next trip.

I called Ticketmania this morning and was told that they will not be selling the Fun In the Sun Tickets this year. Paramount is the only agency that I have heard of selling them.

Not meaning to try to sound deceptive, but if you were questioned, you could state they were given to you as a gift by a relative overseas.

I'm glad this was posted, as I was trying to specifically find out about them.

Please post here if you have had seamless success with using these passes as an American citizen. I'd really rather not be stuck with any trouble and would like to hear any success stories.

There have been numerous posts on older threads where people that have purchased them have had no problems at all with the tickets. Many people have purchased them multiple times because they like the ticket. I have heard good things about Paramount Travel as well as Ticketmania. I originally had planned on using Ticketmania until they were told by Disney that they could no longer sell them. People have posted that they showed ID when they do the initial finger scan, but after that, didnt have to show it. Even when showing a driver's license as ID, they did not have problems. I plan on taking my receipt along if there is a problem, but I don't anticipate one.

Pam

Anyone know why Paramount has been given the okay by Disney to sell them and Ticketmania has gotten the shaft? I'd be curious to find out...

You may be able to get 2 character breakfasts out of the vouchers. If you have to buy a child's ticket, the child's breakfast voucher will look just like the adult voucher. If you use the vouchers to cover the cost of the adult meal and pay cash for the child's, you'll be able to attend 2 character breakfasts instead of one.

We were able to do this during our Easter trip. Three of the four children with us were under 11 so it wasn't a problem.
