New From the North East

Hi All.

I am new and from New England. I am currently planning a Christmas Trip with my family . There will be 9 of us traveling. All the kids will be first time Disney Explorers, and I will be celebrating my birthday . We will be spending 8 nights and 9 days in the parks/resort (POR)

The kids don't know they are going, it's their Christmas presents. Hopefully, they will love it, as they've been begging to go. We normally stick to Sea vacations. But this year, we feel the time is right for a Disney World trip.

Last time I was in Disney was in July (4th) 2002, and I think it was much simpler then, lol. Any advice?

It sounds like your off to a great start. i luved suprizing my DS with a trip to the world. It was the best feeling seeing his face.
u found the best place to get alot of your questions answered and if you do c it ask. We r all here willing to help and give advice.

Yay I am from New England as well! Welcome! HOw old are your children? When exactly are you going? will it be on christmas or before christmas? We are going the end of November into the first week of December at WL. Cant wait!

We just spent a week at POR in April. [7th-14th]

We were given a room in Alligator Bayou last year.

This year we stayed in a refurbished room at Accadia House. Disney did a nice job with redoing rooms. The new beds are a definite upgrade.

Our room at Accadia was a short walk to main pool and food court. We had a car but I did see a bus stop close by our building for those using Disney transportation. The boat ride to DTD is a great alternative to the bus too.

I prefer the mansion side a little better than Alligator bayou. [imo]

This was our second stay at POR, and we've enjoyed both vacations.
