For 12wks before our Nov trip I went on a diet and walked alot more. A friend "washed the gray right out of my hair" more than once. I kept finger nail strengther on my nails, etc. I had a new me and was happy with the results.

However, now Im thinking instead of doing these things for a trip I may just need to do them for myself. Then I can start to feel good again now instead of waiting till Nov.

So do you do these for yourself in your every day life? or wait for an important occasion/trip/etc?

The trip was a good incentive last year, so now you can keep it up for you!

I am trying to do the same thing, last year I really wasn't too worried about the diet thing before my last trip, but I started again before Christmas, really watching what I eat and trying to get more excercize. I am doing it because I am going to be 50 this year, and if I don't take better care of my health, it will only lead to serious problems later in life. And I really want to be able to walk in the Train for Stroke Prevention Marathon, so that wil take a lote of training.

Good Luck, Barb. Keep the attitude positive!
