New Florida Resident

Hi All,

We just moved to the sunshine state and am trying to find out info on resident tickets, hotel rates, etc. On the WDW website I keep getting stuck in a loop, and cant seem to get any info except for the specials they are currently offering. I really want to know if you need an annual pass to be eligible for special room rates, and is there some special code I need to use.

Hey, from one Florida resident to another... have you been to mousesavers.com? They have the most comprehensive list of specials/discounts/info that i've found, including the deals for Florida residents. You should find what you need here.

I have been a Fl. res all of my 33 years and this is the first time that I have truly taken advantage of it at WDW.

**Get a Disney Dining card. It will be good for a year from the month in which it was issued. It saves you 20% at all the sit down restaurants throughout the parks and resorts as well as the food courts in the value resorts. We used it everywhere!!! Saved us a bundle. We just got ours in September, but apparently you will also receive special invites throughout the year to different Disney Dining events.

**Get a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. Just like an annual pass but alot cheaper. Sure, there are blackout dates, but I personally would never want to go during those times that are blacked out due to the size of the crowds or the heat in the summer. I never thought I could go to Disney more than once every couple of years, and now that we are passholders, we went for a week in September, and are now going back for 4 days in the beginning of December. Also being a passholder gives you discounts on miniature golf, Leave a Legacy, boat rentals, and soooo much more. Also, it is nice not having to get your hand stamped or worry about wasting a day off of a hopper pass when you don't want to go to a park until the evening.
