New Fireworks skill

With the announcement of Bat Magic and the removal of Ice Chairs Fireworks games have gotten interestiing at the end. Score like crazy and as soon as you hit 240k stop. Everyone in this game had 180-200k going into the last round. This is how it ended up with me coming in first with 240,572. LOL

That is funny! lol. I have a question though, like before, in order to obtain the fireworks magic do you need to avoid first place with higher than 240,000?

Yes, before that was the only you could obtain fireworks magic. now you can obtain it through multiple wins at certain levels.
For a while, way back when , there was a craze with people trying to just score slightly above 240,000 to obtain the magic. Well, I guess that craze is back and I admit, I am a guilty participant.

This is one I need to work on! I lost, or rather "won" a game last night with only 240,540. I didn't mind winning when they added two ice chairs along with the 900 credits, but I don't understand why anyone wants to come in first anymore!

I was in first the whole game and in the fifth round, suddenly my aim was off and I ended up in second place, oh well. The girl that came in first place was so confused, she walked out and said, what happened, you were doing great, how did i win, I told her she must be really good, she replied, funny how more credits suddenly make you miss...LOL

LOL, I played several rounds yesterday with the same group and we all agreed that this is a whole different game now, a game within a game to see who can stop at just the right moment. The skill is to make sure you stop with 240, 000 points and not much more. Going into several level 5 rounds, many of us had over 200,000 points. I "won" a few rounds because I did not stop soon enough. It has made this game a challenge to say the least.

This senario happened to me yesterday while playing. Usually I'm trying very hard to get the most points and win. Well now since you get more credits for second place it's not good to be first place in fireworks. Yesterday I won seven times in a row! It's weird that we are trying to lose but still be over 240,000. Let us see who the best loser is!

Heh. you all are funny I'm lucky if I can even make it past round 2, usually I get dumped back to the lobby at the start of round 3. 240,000 lol. I'm happy when I get over 100,000.

LOL! Player in fifth place was leading the pack, and I was cracking up all
night at all of us "throwing" the competition.

One game, I thought I'd be successful, getting a similar score, but I won
the game, with the people in 2nd and 3rd place scoring 240,067 and
240,000 even! I couldn't believe it!

By the way, I wasn't sure if that was you in Coasterfanz character, but I
know now it was you!

I don't know how many times I'm playing and end up saying "dang it forgot to quit playing" and my son thinks it is so funny me trying to not win but still get above 240 lol

And I agree- I didn't mind so much when I was getting two ice chairs with that lowly 900 credits for first place- but this is a pain.

And then there is my need to see how high of a score I can get too- so if I'm playing better than usual- I tend to just go for it and see if I can break my current high score of 265-

At this point I'm not playing as much as I was- my credits are well high enough to supply my family with bat magic and get a few extras and still have some credits to get costumes and whatever else comes around- but I'm just anal enough that I like to have a "stopping point for credits" for the day- and usually that is the next 5 or 10 k mark on the game lol- so I do play to get there

I stopped yesterday when I dc'd in first place after the 4th level- even though I wasn't at one of my "stopping points" lol

Yeah the game is very funny now- and for those that say they can't play and get into top five- I played many games yesterday where the top five consisted of maybe 2 or 3 players with scores above 240 and a few times the 5th place person didn't even break 200k

So you have to keep trying and playing

the trick to getting just over 240K and not going to 241K is this. Just say you are at 239500 and only need 500 points. Try exploding the firework with the wrong firework in your selector. You still get like 200 points. that way you can fine tune your score.

LOL! This thread has me TOTALLY confused!! Obviously, I don't play fireworks all that much. But why do all of you NOT want to win? Does the winner not get a prize and everyone else with 240,000 get 900 credits?

And how come everytime I play fireworks, I don't get a single credit? LOL! Which is why I very rarely will play this game!!

If you play fireworks and score over 240,000 points and come in first place, you get a total of 900 credits. If you make it to level five, score more than 240,000 points AND do not come in first, you get a total of 1900 credits.

Even coming in first is not too bad but I would rather play only 5 rounds of fireworks to earn almost 10, 000 credits than play 10 rounds to earn about the same amount.

I got about 250,000 several times yesterday, but came in second, and got 1900 credits each time.

Several other times, I had 240,000 ish and did not come in first and got the same amount of credits, but no ice chairs.???

The key is to get at least 240K but NOT win - that's where you get the big credits. Seems strange but you get more credits that way. Before, when they were giving the ice chairs, the trade-off was 1st place gave 2 chairs, but now, there doesn't seem to be a plus to winning! If you can consistently get your score to 240K+ and not win, it's really worthwhile * cha-ching *

No the problem is because if you get over 240k and are in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th place you get 1900 credits but if you do the same and place first you only get 900 credits-

So it is that extra 1000 credits that we are battling to not win the game lol

When we were getting ice chairs- if you won first place you still only got the 900 credits but you got 2 chairs instead of 1 and so it was usually the decision was "do you go for the chairs or go for the credits?"

Although one time I did run up the score to win it because the person who won the previous game was also trying for the credits. So I ran it up to 260k to make sure she would get her ka-ching in the next game. Share and share alike I say

Thanks for clearing it all up! Am I alone in thinking that the whole thing seems a bit silly? I mean, wouldn't you think you'd get more if you actually won the game!? lol Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! LOL
