I used it at park close to get to another park no problem so that might have changed. It's funny wording as they say available until park close but they confirmed I can watch the fireworks up until the park closed, take my time and get to MK no problem.
Which park did you depart from?
It could depend on how long after closing it is and where it fits in their schedule of times.
For examples, if HS closes at 7:00 and F! ends at 8:00 and the next Express Bus is not scheduled till 8:20, then it may not be an option. F! wouldn't be over in time for a 7:50 bus
But if you are at Epcot and Illuminations ends at 9:15 and the next Express Bus is at 9:20 then it may well be available then.

I'm anxiously awaiting official word on it's future. I'm seriously considering 2 crazy choices, doing CV at HS and then DAH at MK on the same night. But this would only be a worthwhile choice if Express Transportation is an option. HS should still be open at the end of the CV and MK would still be open at the start of DAH so if it's still in operation, it would be running. I won't take the plunge on the tickets till I know more, both the Transportation and the possible weather that weekend.

Quick question for those that have used it: Can you buy it at the actual location or only at guest services? How long did the purchase take (realizing that lines vary, of course)?
We're heading there the end of January and I'm still torn on using it or not. We're staying at the Poly, so many days we'll go back to the hotel before hopping to a different park. But I can see us deciding that we all feel fine and don't need the hotel break and just hopping right away, too.
Thanks!
When we checked in at Epcot last week to hop over to Animal Kingdom the cast members at Epcot were selling to some people who walked up and inquired about it. So, yes, you can purchase it at the pick-up and drop-off locations inside the park.....at least for now:)

HS to MK, almost 4 hours difference in closing time. I think if you want to use it at close, you need to ask at the checkin point what time the last bus to "park x" will be. dont' rely on my experience, they worded it funny that they can do whatever they want at close and they told you no buses after close. then you can plan your park close plan with info from that day.

No, I meant how long after closing did you hop. Was it 4 hours after HS closed? Or a few minutes.
And no worries, I plan to ask. I was mostly just asking to obtain more details on how it worked in your case. A few minutes still fits within nothing after park close. An hour doesn't.

I casually walked over from the fireworks so maybe 10ish minutes at most.

Who has been able to use the new express park to park bus service? How did you find it??? How did it work?? Did you feel it was worth it?? Also how did you purchase this feature and what did you have to do in order to use it?? Is it just linked to you magic band? Any information or reviews would be greatly appreciated it. I'm considering using this service for an upcoming trip as we'll have to travel from Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom within a limited time frame. Thanks for any information!

Merging over to the main Express thread.

Using it on the trip I'm currently on. Yes it's worth it. When you sign up they'll give you a map of the pickup/drop off locations.

We will be using this service for the 4th time this week tonight. The longest ride has been 20 minutes AK to MK. We are staying till close at AK tonight then heading to MK for 9:00 Wishes. Definitely worth the cost if you plan to hop directly from one park to another without a resort stop in between. Huge advantage not having to go through front tapstiles and bag check, especially on busy days!

I simply drive and it is faster than any transportation Disney can provide.

There is no way you can start walking from Tower of Terror, drive over to MK lot, park, take monorail or ferry, go through security screening, walk over to Space Mountain and be there "faster than any transportation Disney can provide" when they pick you up and drop you off site to site with no walking and no security screening.

I will have a full review when I get home.

You better have Mister! We expect no less. After all, you have all of us sitting at home, in the snow, in the cold reading your updates and you keep rubbing it in that you are in the greatest place on earth. Full reviews are mandatory (and don't let schoolwork get in the way either!). pirate:

we are making our first trip in a few years...on my little note sheet...I scribbled rent a car...that would be a first...but this my encourage me to just stick with the buses.

I am hoping this continues in February because we park hop each day of our trip, it sounds to be worth it for sure. Thanks for the reviews from the folks who have tried it.

I hope they continue this indefinitely. We rarely spend a full day at only one park. It would be killer to go from MK to Epcot for lunch! This means much better lunch choices and SO, SO much easier then a bus from MK to BC with a walk over to the IG. That bus makes 3 resort stops.

Where is the drop bus stop at EPCOT?

By spaceship earth. Number one request is for a stop by world showcase, maybe behind Italy

You are probably right, although you're not exactly comparing apples to apples. You are picking two locales, both next to the express pick up point yet furthest from the gate. What if you were doing things near the front gates? Now the walk time is somewhat evened out.
In addition, you are assuming the express bus is right there waiting for you. What if you're ready to go but the bus just left? Add another 1/2 hour for express transportation?

MG

One of the advantages of the express bus is it leaves on a specific schedule. You know when it departs, unlike the regular bus routes. No wasting time waiting for your bus. The other advantage is no waiting in line at security.
