We just returned from a 15-Nite , 16-Day Stay @ WDW.
We would have LOVED this CHEAP!!!!
Service @ $24 for us as AP Holders,
OR EVEN @ 2X $24 for 14 Days!!!

WHY?!
We Park-Hopped a Number of Days;
We had to Spend the time
Walking from the Kilimanjaro Safaris
TO the front of the Park,
TO the AKL Bus( furtherest out!),

THEN hop a Bus @ Jambo House
TO say, Hollywood Studios.

SINCE AKL now has Transportation Boards saying WHEN Buses are to arrive,
we took the bus!

otherwise, we would have taken a
Mears Taxi,
@ around $15 !!!

ALSO,
AK had mandatory Metal Detector Screening FOR ALL Guests !!!
on 4 or 5 of our Days there,
and our First Visit Day( NOT mandatory),
we were chosen!

PLUS we were chosen for Metal Detector Screening @ most other Parks!!

This would have saved us valuable time,
helped my feet out,
saved us Mears Taxi $$,
AND made us feel like VIPs,
TO boot!!!!
Why not straight to the park you wanted to go to?

And just to put it out there, Uber would cost you half of the cost of a Taxi

I'm going to be touring some of the resorts today and plan to stop by Concierge and ask questions about this service.
If you guys have any questions please reply to this post and I'll ask them.
I'll be asking about what type of transportation is it
Does it have a schedule
If an ap or regular guest has more than 7 days do they have to pay again

Thank you for looking into this! I am really interested in seeing if my 10 night stay in May would be covered by just one payment.

I know that the cost of this service isn't that high but it doesn't seem right that my stay on property wouldn't be covered as a "length of stay" just because we have APs.

If you could ask them what time the last shuttle will be leaving Epcot for the MK, that would be great. They say til the park closes but I'm wondering if that would be 10:30 or if they'll have a shuttle running after illuminations. MK is open til 3am on the night I'd like to use the shuttle after illuminations.
Thank you!

Personal experience from yesterday. Just a reminder
I'm a local
I park hop maybe once a week
I will probably never use this service unless I have family/friends coming to busy during a very busy season
I am not trying to sell anyone on this service

I was at DHS last night for F! Park hopping to MK after
I was parked at the cm parking, so closest to the entrance on the left
Left DHS around 7:45pm, got stuck in the parking lot traffic cause of where I was parked
Arrived at MK around 8:15pm, bag check was about 10 minutes, the entrance was packed at that time, entered the park around 8:30pm
With this service I would've been able to get on a bus right by RnRC, that bus does not have to deal with the regular parking lot traffic, I am 100% sure I would've been inside by 8pm, if the bus is on the hour, half hour schedule
Like I said, I think this service will be helpful during heavy travel seasons.

I'm so excited that they're offering this! Our trip during Xmas week will be so much better!

On our 1st day, we're going to MK rope drop at 6:40. We have a bog breakfast at 10:25. Then going on carousel of progress and people movers before heading to Epcot for our afternoon fast passes. It'll be so much easier to leave MK from tomorrowland rather than walk against the giant flow of people entering the park. It'll also be nice to be driven directly to Epcot and inside Epcot without dealing with the crowds entering there!

We leave Epcot around 3:45 for hs for our 4:40 dinner ressie. We were going to walk but this may be easier and less wear and tear on us since it'll be a very long day. After 8pm fantasmic, we can use the shuttle to go back to Epcot to see illuminations.

Our other 2 days are similar. This shuttle service will be so helpful!!

Only at Disney does selling a bus ride get called a luxury service.

Sorry - all in good fun but this comment did make me laugh. :rotfl:

We'll just have to see but after reading all the comments I'm having a thought that Disney is going to regret trying to offer this. Only time will tell.

They also aren't going to be able to resist increasing the price sooner rather than later.

Agreed, luxury probably wrong word. It's paid for special service above and beyond the free service.

Usually they seem to overprice but this time they put at a point that many will book if nothing else avoid the walk to depots and security ... I don't think they'll be able to handle it.

Be shocked if it doesn't go away slow months and come back at higher price.

I would definitely pay the $24 to add to my AP for this. I'll be there in less than a week and am activating my new AP and will pay the extra. As a pp mentioned, this would cut out multiple security screenings. One day I had planned to go to AK, then HS and then a friend wanted to meet for a drink at EPCOT and I told her no because I didn't want to wait in the security line for a 3rd time that day--this new system will eliminate this--excellent. A definite plus especially since I've read that they are going to start beefing up security. Usually not really a hassle, but any extra time I can add to the park time is a plus for me.

No luck at Grand floridian either. :(
He was looking at the same screen I look at at home
Something tells me you are going to have to wait till it starts, and then I really question that they'll know much more than they do now.

Were any of the CM you encountered even aware it was coming?

I saw someone elsewhere bring up a good point. This could be Disney potentially looking to profit off of the need for more security. As we all know Disney is currently working on infrastructure for security screening that everyone will have to go through. This service would avoid the potential long lines at the entrances due to the expanded security screening.

Yeah, I am kind of wondering about this too. As a passholder, it's giving me the option of buying it at the single day rate, but if a multi day ticket holder can buy it for $24 and use it for 15 days like you mentioned, then why can't I, especially if I am on an extended trip. I think it would be more fair to let passholders buy it at $24, but perhaps put a limit on it like 14 days before they have to buy another one.
agreed as an AP holder I would buy it for length of stay (which for us is generally 8 - 10 days) for $24 / person. No way will I pony up $15 / day / person. It would be a convenience for PH ( skipping security etc - we usually drive from park to park). I will be interested to see how this plays out...

Dig back through the thread - pretty sure they have clarified this and AP's can buy for 7 days like length of stay pass.

How much time could this actually save?
Prob can't be answered but don't buses normally run on 30 min intervals??
The the time saved would be walking out of the park and potentially security, but not really much if any in driving time correct?

I have not been since 2015 but at that time security was pretty fast in particular if you didn't have bags. I hear that's changed though so this could be helpful and the cost seems good but not great. By that I mean for Disney it is cheap but for a simple shuttle a few bucks is common so if you assume a common six day stay used once a day would be $4

@yulilin3 added AP info: 7 days for the $24 pricing. It's the last bit of info in Post #1.

The regular/free buses between parks and parks/resorts are on approx a 20 min cycle

Otherwise, no, no one is sure what can be saved. Walking time and security time mostly. And in some cases, traffic as the routes they'll take inside the parks may avoid parking gates, which can back up in some cases

I would like to see how this service works out for others before my trip. So I hope we hear tons of stories on this come Wednesday.
We plan to start using it on the 10th, so poke me if I forget to come back and report. :) Actually we probably won't hop on the 10th, but we will for the rest of our stay 11- 16
