we had a night to kill so we went to old town on 192, it was actually fun, they had some rides, some shops, good places to eat, anyone else visit there, ow did you like it, i definitely plant to put it on te schedule for 2006 trip

We really enjoy going there. We have a meal at Damons and then go nosey at all the cars down there on a Saturday night. DH was in heaven as it was like a Fast and the Furious show. The kids loved the rides and they had some really unique gift shops. We'll be there next week,

my dtr loved the bumper cars, the lady gave us an extra long ride, it was so much fun

We love going there. DD and I love riding the go-karts. They have some novel shops. A couple of years ago, we stayed next door and our room package included a bunch of ride tickets so we got to ride everything. That was fun. We also like antique cars and love going to the cruise nites.

And Flippers has the best pizza we've found in the Disney area. We get pizza there every trip.

We go every year to see the car shows on Saturday night. Lots of fun.

certainly "drecky" = full of tourist trappy items to buy and carnie time rides....but that being said.........my then 7 year old son loved it. Joke shop and other junk shops hit the spot with him. Had a blast watching those wackos on that huge sling shot ride.

Nice change from the Disney scene and a beautiful carousel..

The shops were fun and I especially liked listening to the oldies music that was piped throughout Old Town.. :)

yeah this is definitely a place i am adding on our list when we are in florida, so we have Disney, universao/ioa, seaworld and old town, i did not make it to the malls while i was there i was so tired and broke

Old Town should be planned as an evening. While it is open in daytime, evenings are when everything is happening, and weekend nights are when the car shows happen.

yes i agree i went at night and during the day and nite time is better, i would say you need not spend more then a couple of ours there, most of the fun is walking through,

I agree that old town is good for an evening 'specially on the weekends when the cars show happen.

I use to live right near Old Town and I have to admit, I am addicted to the rock store. I did a lot of my Christmas shopping there last year and found all sorts of bracelets, necklaces etc that people loved for a not to much money.

Sounds like a cool spot to go. After WDW we are staying a couple nights at the Tropical Palms Resort and I believe the brochure said it was right near Old Town. I hadn't given a thought to going there, but now after reading this, I think we'll have to check it out.
