New EPCOT Souvenir Cups

Hi:

I don't remember where I got this information, but EPCOT has new souvenir cups. The cups have light-up images of Illuminations fireworks on a semi-opaque container. There are clusters of three LED lights in the base that make the whole thing sparkle, flashing through red, blue and green.
Does anyone know where in EPCOT I can purchase these cups? They will make great Christmas gifts if I can find out where to get them.

They are available at the pizza cart right outside of Test Track. We got one. Just warn you, sometimes the lights decide not to go off! Ours wouldn't stop for 5 days straight!!!! Then the batteries died. It was wild.

Sorry your batteries died, but that's still funny.

Can you replace the batteries? What is the on/off mechanism, is it a tap thing like the ice cubes?

Unless they started making a new version I picked one of these up last year in October.

Mine has an orange button on the bottom to turn it on and off. It takes a few AA or AAA batteries.

We haven't changed the batteries yet, but ours have the orange button as well, so I believe it's the same (we went this past May)

Many restaurants have them, we got ours at Coral Reef.

Its a great cup but it was the most expensive souvenir cup I have ever seen before. I believe it was $12.99 but I might be wrong its been a while. I got mine from the stand that sells the McDonalds fries near World Showcase. I looked at a map and I think its the Refreshment Port.

I took some pictures of mine to give you an idea of what it looks like. It really is bright.

Just FYI - people have reported being able to purchase lightup ice cubes at stores such as Target and Walgreens

They had a similar mug for the Osborne Lights display last year. Hot Cocoa and a warm gingerbread man made for a good snack as we wandered through the lights and snow. Maggie

I was thinking about it and I knew I had seen complete menus for almost all the restaurants at Disney World before so I did a quick search and found that allearsnet.com has the prices the the Refreshment Port where I purchased my cup. According to that site it actually costs $11.29.

Well my guess was close.

My kitchen cupboard is quite full from all the BIG souvenir mugs I've bought at WDW over the years! I really like getting the dated holiday ones and the Osborne Lights mug.
