Has anyone used their points for a resort in New England for the fall foliage time? We are thinking about doing so next fall, but can't decide what would be the best time to go and the resort to select.

Any input would be much appreciated.

The foliage peak varies from year to year and from location to location. The farther North you go, the earlier the peak. This year we peaked right around Columbus Day here in NE CT, and that tends to be close to peak from year to year. If you head to Stowe, VT or other northern NE destinations you'll want to be there a bit earlier to see the peak.

We stayed at the InnSeason Resort Pollard Brook Lincoln NH over the summer. I was pleased with the place. We stayed in a one bed with DH and 2 kids. Nice space, clean and everyone was very helpful. Like the past poster said the season is always a little different. NH is past peak now and MA is in peak.

We are going to a differnt resort with II this weekend in NH. I can post latere about that one.

I live in New Hampshire and would agree with the last poster, Pollar Brook was very nice and it is centrally located. I would suggest going the beginning of Oct. Columbus Day weekend is usually peak but crowded. You can always drive north or south to get to the best colors. Be sure to drive along the Kancamagus Highway between Conway and Lincoln.

Thanks for the input.

I know there is one resort in the Concierge Collection thta is in or near Stowe, so will check into that. I remember another up in Maine also, but guess we'd have to head up there sometime in late September to catch it that far north.
