Hey all you NE brides! (and yes Sam this means you! :goodvibes )

I'm free from Maine (WAZOO!) for the next few days and I'm looking to go shopping for wedding stuff! I'm specifically on the hunt for wedding jewelry, handbag, and placecard holders (among a list of other things!). I am in Central Massachusetts, and will be driving back home up the Maine coast. Since I'm in MA - I'm cool driving to lower NH, VT, CT, and RI as well as our entire MA.

I have found two things down here. My actual placecards (AC Moore - cost 2.00), and a bin for the Programs (5.00 - Christmas Tree Shop).

Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts would be appreciated.

-Meg :yay: (I'm free, I'm free!!)

Umm first of all where can we can meet for a drink!
OK, so since you are here in this balmy 32 degree MA weather (I actually spoke to my wedding consultant today and it is 82 in Orlando...:sad2: oh well)

Well you need to check out Michaels, (I actually may be heading to the one in Framingham this week, if your interested) b/c I found out that they have a HUGE $1 disney row with all sorts of cute stuff perfect for welcome bags, favors, kids gifts etc etc I got some cute disney snap and go fish cards for the kids bags for 50 cents each, and 6 packs of disney pencils for a buck! They seem to have a better selection then AC Moore right now for some reason:confused3 , but maybe try there for placecard holders

Ok, now onto jewlery, if you are looking for the real stuff I probably can't help you much more then Barmakian in Natick, thats where Dave got my ring from and they are awesome! So friendly and willing to work with any budget.

Now if you want less pricey stuff I vote going to look at the clearence racks at Macy, they have huge post Valentines Day sales with all sorts of CZ pieces which would work perfect for a wedding!

Let me know what else you need :goodvibes

Hey there! If it is jewelry you want I agree that Barmakians is awesome...that's where we got our rings. We went to the one in Nashua, NH (tax free you know!) JCPenny's was having a 50% off briday jewelry recently not sure if they still are or not.

I don't know if you are interested in going into Boston, but a stroll down Newbury Street might turn up some interesting things. A place I can recommend is The Artful Hand Gallery at Copley Place (Shamless plug, I used to work in the Chatham location!! :rotfl: ) But they always have unique jewelry.

HTH!

Just noticed your thread.....If you don't mind coming down to CT there is a great little shop in the small town of Taftville, CT. Its called Love Me Two Times Bridal and Consignment Boutique. Its got one side that does womens consignments, but the other side is ALL bridal. They have all NEW and Reasonably priced wedding jewelry that they keep stock on hand as well as orderables. This place is on of Cts best kept little secrets. Check them out.......here is their address and phone:

Lome Me Two Times

No way youre from maine? Were looking to buy a vacation home there! we love it there what part?

Northern Maine - on the Canadian border. Southern Maine is gorgeous though - esp. on the coast. Once I graduate from U-Maine, I'm going to move down there. I can't deal with all the nothingness up here! (Well there technically as I'm still home in Worcester!) :lmao:

Ogunquit is just awesome. I honestly wouldn't have minded getting married down there... http://www.stageneck.com/enterweddings.html We're just going to bring the New England down to WDW! :goodvibes

There's a saying in Maine - "You can't enjoy a Maine summah until you've survived a Maine wintah". This is what I get to go home to tomorrow
