Look for a new waterfront eatery by the end of this year at the Morocco Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot. Spice Road Table will feature various small plates and refreshments inspired by the cuisine of the Mediterranean. With seating both indoors and out, it’s a welcome addition to the line-up along World Showcase Lagoon.
Stay tuned for other “enhancements” to the pavilion and more news on Spice Road Table as menus are finalized.

I'm very excited about this! What a view this "eatery" will have! I am also curious if it will be a QS by day, TS by night restaurant. That seems to be a growing trend.

this is one area where i do give the operation at WDW credit...they have added some nice new food venues in the past five years - particularly at EPCOT.

You can never have too many options for food and drink at EPCOT. Futureworld is in decline/decay...so the showcase and its yummies need to be preserved. between the tequila bar and hacienda in mexico, via napoli in italy, and now this...that is good reinvestment. things that are brand new...not repurposed facilities. Addition by Addition.

now they need some new food in Animal Kingdom and Studios...to say nothing of new blood in the attractions department

oof, Studios is a nightmare in terms of food. It was always rough for me when i had guests trying to book dining after saying "Well, that evening we will be in HS...what's a good place for dinner?"

The interesting thing is that all the real dining enhancements and additions at World Showcase have been done in the countries with outside participants running the restaurants (and investing in their future): Japan, Italy, Mexico, France, and now Morocco.

The countries with Disney-operated restaurants have have been more-or-less stagnant: Canada, Germany, China, Norway, UK, and American Adventure. Okay, Le Cellier went to two table-service credits in the dining plan, but I would hardly call that an enhancement.

Brown Derby is excellent...everything else is ok to blah...

Magic Kingdom is terrible - lets face it. central americans in fuzzy costumes doesnt change the fact that they cant get a decent meal out in any of those places.

maybe the food spoils in the tunnels?

It's just always good to here about something new at Epcot because it does need new things not just refurbishments it needs new actual physical buildings. I hope this is just the start of more to come at Epcot.

This is my favorite land for food at Epcot. So glad they're going to add some more options. Tangerine cafe is pretty awesome as it is !

I'm so excited for this restaurant! My family are not fans of Middle Eastern food, so when I'm in the mood, I'm on my own (which is fine with me!) :rotfl:

Hopefully there will be some options for the more tame eaters of the 'World.

I love the fact that it will be on the lagoon and indoor/outdoor. Any idea if this will be QS by day, TS by night?

My answer is always: PB&J for lunch and downtown for dinner!

Not to get too far off topic but yeah. MK is worse, but thank god for The Wave, Ohana, Chef Mickey's, California Grill, and Narcoossee's being just a quick monorail ride away. At least there are resort options around there.

If you're at HS, hopefully you don't miss your reservations when youre waiting for a bus at HS or something.

While I too am excited about anything new coming to EPCOT, I am wondering if they are reducing the amount of places to view IllumiNations. If they keep developing the waterfront, it would appear to me that there are less places to watch the show.

Not sure it's intentional, but think about it; take away some free seating areas and replace them with revenue generating locations; brilliant.

And the waits were really bad. We were there end of feb and a couple times just thought we would get in somewhere. Just couldn't find anything except both times ended up at Columbia Harbour-which isn't too bad. I don't think the Pirate place was ever open and neither was the plaza open air deal. Even Casey's was a huge line, as was the fast food dining near Space MT area.
