Happened upon this new DVD set on Amazon. It is not out yet. Release date is June 1st. I'm super curious about how it is. I've gotten some pretty bad Disney park DVD's. I want to get it the day it comes out, but from past experience, I think I will wait for some reviews.

the discription reads more like a "Sales & Marketing" presentation DVD to me

Think I'll be like you and wait to see what it really is before I fork over the $$

Yes, it might be a very long 3 hour commercial for $35.

Only thing is, the DVD set isn't put out by Disney as far as I can tell. It is put out by Questar Entertainment, which doesn't seem to be a part of Disney.

Is it bad that I'm still intrigued by Disney propaganda?

Sales pitch or not, I'd still watch it all, $35 is a little steep but it does come in several formats:lmao:

My sweetie ordered this for me :lovestruc So I can give a review after we watch it.

This looks to be the same group of DVDs that Netflix just released. I just received the Disneyland Resort: Behind the Scenes disc today. I will let you guys know if it is decent.

this DVD set is some of the Disney Specials that aired on the Travel Channel. The DVD set has 6 shows, while the Blu Ray set only has 3 shows. What's up with that! I guess I'll get the DVD set.

Yes, this was a travel channel show. I noticed as soon as the music started for the opening credits. The Disneyland show was not so much "behind the scenes" as it was just a general tour of the parks. They had some interviews with Marty Sklar, other imagineers, and my favorite, Richard Sherman behind a piano playing IASW the way it was originally composed.

Worth it for me to get on Netflix, not worth it to buy on DVD for $30 IMHO. If you liked the travel channel specials then you might have a different opinion about that. I enjoyed it, but found myself wandering off half way through.
