New DVC renter question about check-in

I have booked Disney resorts before but this is my first time renting DVC points. My question regards check-in. When checking in normally I use my debit card with a visa logo for incidentals and have a hold of 100. I do not use the ability to charge to the room as we prefer to use our debit cards and gift cards.
When checking into a DVC rental is this process different? Do I have to use a major credit card? And are holds different? We are trying not to open a credit card because we are under contract to buy a house.

DVC stays are handled the same way as cash stays with regard to the card you put on file for room charges. Holds are the same.
