New DVC Member Perks coming 2014?

Anyone hear any news or rumors about new perks coming in 2014. Like on par with the Premium AP for $399 last year? Obviously I'm taking it with a huge grain of salt but I had some DVC cast members tell me about they've been hearing rumors of some nice discount perks to
Drive more DVC visits. Would be awesome to see but curious the word on the street.

well since you could have brought one last year that won't expire until 12/31/14 - don't think so - at least for 2014 - now maybe in 2015 - but DVC generally does not do the huge drop in prices for PAP twice in a row.

we have a good discount on AP now. PAP not so much.

It was an example of the type of discount being hinted at, not a question of "Is it this?" I used it as an example because it was an awesome discount and recent so people would understand the type being rumored and thus could tell me if they had heard anything themselves.

Well they took away free valet parking and gave us free internet access, which everyone has now. So...yes I think it is time for a new perk.

That said, it won't stop me from visiting if they don't. I'm a goner!

I prefer the free Internet to Valet but that's just me.

I guess we shall se. Seeing what's happening to TIW, I'm curious to see if that is a trend in discounts, if they treat DVC better, or if they cut more. Speculation on other sites is that referrals and satisfaction surveys are down significantly and that's affecting bottom line (so less add-ons, etc.). Have no idea if it is true and a big part of me thinks price may have something to do with the drop in add-ons and such but that's pure speculation.

This is just like the rumor that there was going to be a big change in resale rules announced at the annual meeting a couple of years ago. Nothing happened.

Other than those rumors generated solely by wishful DVC members, there has been no mention or hint of anything by DVD. Perhaps it will actually officially announce the Poly DVC.

And in answer to Q above, there were no prior special deals on the PAP before that $399 except for the usual DVC discount.
