I've read and read and read, and I'm still a little confused. We bought 75pts resale at BWV. There are currently 75 points banked from 2008 UY (December UY, so I guess technically we are still in 2008?). When do those points expire?

I'll get the hang of this yet! Besides this board is there a DVC Book for Dummies anywhere?

December use years are a little weird because, as you noted, they are almost one full calendar year off.

You are correct, you are still in your 2008 use year. It is too late to bank your 2008 points, as your banking window ended July 31, unless the previous owner already banked them into 2009.

If the 2008 points were not banked, they need you be used for stays ending no later than November 30, 2009. If they were banked, they can be used for stays between December 1, 2009, and November 30, 2010.

I was hoping you would say that!! They are banked, so happily, we'll be able to use them for Food and Wine Festival next year! Yay!!

for a december UY: if you bank 2008 pts prior to july 31, 2009, yes, the banked 2008 pts will expire at the end of the 2009 UY (nov 30, 2010).

if you don't bank the 2008 pts prior to july 31, 2009, they will expire on nov 30, 2009.
