Which is better to stay at with kids age 5 & 10 - Jambo house or Kidani Village? and why?

Depends on room size and if quick service dining at the resort is important.

Except for the Studios, the rooms at Kidani Village are larger than those at Jambo House. If looking for a 2-bedroom, only Kidani Village will have dedicated 2-bedrooms available. All Jambo House 2-bedrooms are lock-offs which is a studio and a 1-bedroom with a connecting door. The studio is the second bedroom in a lock-off and will have it's own door to the hallway. Kidani Village also has 2-bedroom lock-offs available. Dedicated and Lock-off are booking categories within the 2-bedroom category and you will know when you book which you have.

Only Jambo House has quick service dining (The Mara). Kidani Village has a very good table service restaurant (Sanaa), but it's not open for breakfast.

One more thing, the 1-bedroom and larger villas at Kidani Village (KV) will have 1 more bathroom than those in Jambo House (JH). A JH 1-bedroom will have one bath where the KV 1-bed has 2 baths. For the 2-bedrooms, JH has 2 baths where KV has 3 baths.

:welcome: Home!

Will you have a car? parking more convient at Kadani
How often will you use QS which is a Jambo. We don't mind the walk others do.

Additional bathroom in 1-bed or larger at Kadani than the 1 bed a Jambo.

My kiddos like Community Hall which is at Kadani, they also perfer that pool but do like the one at jambo as well.

Both locations have good and bad points.

First thing I must say is WELCOME HOME NEIGHBOUR

IMHO unless access to the quick service dining is vital, I'd go for Kidani. The kids will love the pool!

Welcome home, AKV neighbor!

I like Jambo the best, it's just more homey to me. The DGC who were younger than 10 really enjoyed both pools, but I think Kidani's pool has more to offer.

The water play area at Kidani's pool is really popular with children of similar age to your two. Also if you have a savanna view room, I think you have a better chance at getting a room with a good view at Kidani. The rooms at Jambo House are all on the fifth floor whereas at Kidani you can get rooms on the 2nd to 5th floor. The lower the floor the better the view of the animals.
And at Kidani you get on the buses to the parks first before Jambo House which means you are more likely to get a seat.

The negative is that except for Sanaa all of the restaurants are over at Jambo House so you have to walk over there, or eat in your villa or dine at Sanaa.

Honestly I think your kids will be happy at either, it depends on if you want a quieter resort (Kidani) or if you want to be where all the action is (Jambo):

Kidani has underground parking, better pool, extra bathroom, newer, 1 table service restaurant, smaller gift shop

Jambo has 1 counter service and 1 table service restaurant, bigger gift shop, in general more activity

We stayed last week in the Timon section of Kidani. It was nice b/c it was sorta halfway b/w the Jambo and Kidani lobbies. Happy Planning! :goodvibes
