I called and the guy that I spoke with told me that for the Disney Dreammaker Package 7nights for the price of 4 deal, that to get it, the trip has to be the first thing you charge on your card, so as soon as you get the card, don't charge anything until you call them and book your trip. Not sure if this is accurate as he sounded new and a little looney...lol....but just wanted to let you guys that are doing it know just in case :)

For petes sake,

I hope this is not true.

herc.

And you also need to talk backwards, in Swahili, all in one breath, while standing on your head.

Man, why are they making it so hard?

He said they are taking TONS of info and being VERY careful about who is going to get this offer. He said that it was because others would be trying to take advantage of it when they didn't actually qualify, so he told me to make sure I had 25-30 minutes to spare when I called back to give them all my info and set it up.....I guess it's good for them...but bad for us...lol :)

they should give the deal to ANYONE with a Disney Visa. But that's just my opinion.

This Disney Visa stuff is so absurd....give card holders a special or don't!!!

Way back, when DV was just starting I applied for a card. Didn't get approved. Okay, I can live with that. So, I buy DVC. Now, in the past week I've gotten 2 mailings offering me the DisneyVisa card and 2 other ones that tell me of that great deal where they give me Disney Mag. for an extra year when I get the card!!! So, I don't get approved and then over the period of the last month I've gotten a total of 6 mailings from them!! Needless to say, I haven't sent any of them back. Thanks to you guys, I just don't see any need too.

goofy4tink--do you have an AP? I just rec'd a mailing that said I was going to rec the Disney Magazine for a year at no charge as an AP holder.

My fiance also got both the Disney Magazine and vacation package offer from Disney Visa. We're boycotting the card, though. We both have Visas from Bank One that could be turned into the Disney card, but it's my own little way of protesting the ending of the Disney Club, not that I expect it to have ANY impact whatsoever. After reading all of the posts about the card, I'm glad we don't have them.

This is only my SUPPOSITION (with NO information to support my theory), but I'm assuming that eligibility for the vacation offer is based on credit scoring. If your credit score is higher, you are eligible for the vacation offer. If this is the case, I think it is terrible that now Disney is offering discounts based on credit history. Walt is spinning.
