I wish they did this on the Treasure instead. The Destiny is doing a lot of 4/5 night sailings and having more downtime for the Haunter Mansion Parlor is going to keep a space that is already crowded more so.

My assumption is that many brides do not like the look of the concept art of the Destiny Atrium for a wedding. Which I can't blame them. It is a big difference between getting married with Aladdin and Cinderella vibes vs Marvel

My assumption is the weddings will be in the morning. The Parlor typically opens at noon on sea days, with photo op time in the morning.

Maybe thats WHY they're doing it on the Destiny..? A lot of folk really like Haunted Mansion so maybe it can boost bookings.

Random question but does anyone know the purpose of the harness they're all wearing?
They have reflectors on them (you can see the white balls on their shoulders) that allow the positioning and orientation of actors to be known by the lighting/effects system. Their costumes likely have the reflectors built in but the vests allow them to rehearse without their full costumes. There were some videos talking about the technology when Moana debuted on the Treasure because there are similar reflectors on Moana's boat.

The more robust harness with leg straps is so they can lift the performer (make them fly) off the stage (or simply as a safety measure if they are performing on an elevated platform in case they fall off).

That sounds really useful, thank you! I assumed they weren't the lifting kind as they don't go under their legs so I was at a loss..!

We are on the NCL Prima at Port Canaveral. As we were having dinner prior to sail away the Destiny pulled in right beside us. She’s gorgeous!!! We’re on the Wish after this cruise and I’m even more excited now :).
How do you like the Prima? I considered a cruise on the Prima for next year but it was a bit out of budget given how new she is.

She’s a beautiful ship and we are very impressed with the size of our cabin - especially for a basic balcony cabin. It’s only our first day but food and crew have been fantastic. I love the deck 8 promenade with tons of outdoor seating, some even with wading pool features. Most of the restaurants on this deck have both indoor and outdoor seating which we love. Hoping to grab an outside table at Los Lobos (Mexican specialty restaurant) tonight. We’re currently chilling in the gorgeous observation lounge with floor to sea windows watching our approach to Nassau.

My only complaint with NCL in general is the lack of entertainment. They’ve cut way back on their evening shows. Other than that we are quite enjoying it. But for a kick back and do nothing cruise or a port intensive one we enjoy their product quite a bit.

The ship looks beautiful and I enjoyed my last NCL cruise. Prima isn't cheap right now (and for good reason) but would love to try her out one day.
