So the November onwards dates wont be released yet :sad1:

Sounds like a decent offer.. Hopefully Ireland gets the same :goodvibes so i can book an upgrade. I'll be stalking the website so! :rotfl:

hoping its not too drastic a change in price

my dad has just spent almost £3000 taking 10 of us in august....not sure what we can do if there is a real drop in price :confused3 :sad1:

You can't make your holiday cheaper without paying cancellation fees but they will normally let you switch onto a new deal as long as you then add extras such as meals/buffalo bills to your booking to make it up to the price it was before or more. It doesn't save you any money but it does mean you get more for the money you have paid. ( I hope that made sense!)

it does thank you! :thumbsup2

i booked through forces travel which gave us an extra 5% off so i suppose I would have to call them and get them to do it as they then call Disney direct on my behalf. will see tomorrow what the price difference is and weigh it all up. have my dads card so if I can get us all a meal plan or some thing at a good price i might just do that!

frustrating but i knew there was a risk of new offer when we booked I suppose!

ohh like the sound of this. what do i say or ask when i call them up?

priced it again last night after seeing this thread and have just done it again on site and no difference whatsoever! :confused3 funny thing is though last night it said this includes 1night extra and today it says 25%off! no difference though!

is this just a way to get people to have a look and think they are getting a deal? :confused3

you have to price up your original holiday first ie same hotel, same dates, same number in your party etc. If its now cheaper because of the discounted offer (it may not be as its often certain dates, certain hotels etc etc, usual DLP blurb) you can change your package to include any of the add-ons (half board meal plans, meals payable in advance etc) or change your onsite hotel to a higher-rated one, to bring the cost of your new package up to or just above the price of your original package. This is classed as an upgrade on your package, and so is not subject to any cancellation or admin fees.

Get yourself a glossy DLP brochure, it really is your friend in this situation, as it explains what add-ons you can put on your package, and the terms and conditions of upgrading your package are very clear in it too :).

curious- what happens if train isn't available when I am seeing if offer gives me a cheaper price? am booked to go in 2 weeks and assume Eurostar is fully booked those days- many thanks

sorry I don't know the answer to this, I never book my transport with Disney, hopefully another member here will be able to advise you :).

My price has gone up by £170. :confused3

I have waited for an offer and now wish I hadn't. :sad2:

What gets me is the price of the Eurostar is STILL more expensive booking through Disney with (supposedly) 25% off than it is booking direct.

Bit of a rubbish offer all round then really. Gutted.

Found these thru Disney other sites:::

Dutch site > 20% off
French site > 15% off Sunday arrivals, last minute offers, 1 day and night free (combinable with under 7s free)
Belgian site >15% off
US site> extra day and night free
German site> 20% off
Spanish site> extra day and night free
Italian site> extra day and night free
Irish site > extra day and night free (equates to €400 to upgrade to SL from Cheyenne having already paid €535..... Thats €928 for 2 adults (plus 2 free kids) for 3 nights / 4 days 7-10th November)

Mental.

Thanks for the info kizzabel. The Spanish site gives a better price for my dates, am I allowed to book through it even though I am in the UK?

yes you can - just put in everything as you usually would when you book online, but leave the country at Spain. you still get the Disney confirmation in the usual way, by email, and its the booking reference number thats all you need to check in at your hotel.

Some interesting offers there alright but 1day/night free just isnt going to cut it for my upgrade plans.

So whats the general concensus on the new offers?

Im not loving them. I think Ive gotten too used to great % off offers.

the new offer doesn't thrill me - in fact I've yet to see any decent price for any offer thats come out from Disney so far this year. I've done quotes for June and October (both times I've gone in the past/consider going again) and the prices are just crazy expensive, in my opinion, even with these offers. Well beyond my budget. Disney would have to offer 45% off or better to get anywhere near what I paid last year in October, and June is out of range altogether for onsite (but to be fair, this has always been the case for us, and we go offsite at that time of year).

It may not have the discount for you dates. The offer is upto 25% discount on selected dates. The 2 dates I have looked at have 15% off & 25% off.

For my dates its not too badly priced, I don't bother with the transport side as my uncle works for Eurotunnel & gets discounts. However the € is what is putting me off from booking as its really poor.
