PayPal update for me and not a great one. It appears that they limited the "Pay In Four" (PI4) points to the first $1250 spent, even though the original limit was $5,000 or your personal limit. Even though they said on 11/26 "Any eligible PayPal Pay Later transactions you made before today will receive the benefit of the original offer terms. You can check the status of any pending points in the rewards hub of the PayPal app." My personal limit was $2700.
All 3 of my purchases were made
before PayPal changed the terms for "Pay In 4".
- A $1250 purchase at the Disney Store on 11/19, $1150 in eGCs and $100 in physical GCs.
- After the purchase it showed that there was 34,000 points in pending, a combination of PI4 and Disney Store bonus.
- I received 23,000 PI4 points a couple of days ago
- I did not get the extra 2,000 PI4 points for the physical gift card, but I wasn't going to quibble.
- I have 11,500 Disney Sore bonus points pending on my eGCs
- I have 1,000 Disney Store bonus points pending on my physical gift cards
- A $1250 purchase at NCL on 11/21 as a deposit for my cruise
- After the purchase it showed that were 25,000 points in pending
- I received 2,000 PI4 points today.
- I have NO points pending
- The payout SHOULD HAVE been 25,000 points, so they screwed me out of 23,000 points.
- A $200 purchase at NCL on 11/25 for a deposit for my cruise.
- Right now it shows 4,000 points pending.
- I have a feeling those points will also disappear.
I'm honked off that they changed the rules, told me that I was still playing under the original rules and then enforced the new rules anyway. I'm going to hang for a while, but I'm thinking about contacting PayPal about this since my 2 NCL transactions were 100% legitimate and not in the tiniest bit wonky. I'll let things shake out first.
