As a postscript, the Disney help desk was entirely unhelpful. Every time I had a question or suggested a way to resolve, they put me on hold and would come back and say they spoke to someone and could not do it. I really wish they would have transferred me to someone who knew what they were doing. Not only would it probably have been corrected, but even if it didn't, it would have been a lot faster. Nothing like being put on hold repeatedly when the person talking to you is simply reading off a screen with no comprehension of what they are actually doing or saying.
I had a similar issue with Disney support when I called in about a different gift card order and why it had not been shipped. The person just kept parroting that it was 'shipped', even though all that meant was that the label was created and the post office had not even picked it up a week after ordering. They could not see the tracking status that I could so they just kep insisting that is was shipped.
WHen I called a different time, the person was able to see the tracking status that showed it had not been picked up yet and was able to note that it seemed like an issue. Fortuately, the status was updated the next day that it had been [icked up and eventually got the cards, but 2 different calls and 2 different experiences. Not the best customer service from Disney.
Not to mention that the gift cards I ordered from
giftcards.com came faster than the ones I ordered from Diseny, but that is a separate issue.
