NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Quick question. I see the 5% Chase offer which I clicked on. How do you also use Rakuten?
Clicking the Chase offer activates it on your credit card. You're done with Chase for now.

Do you already have a Rakuten account? If so, navigate to Rakuten, login, click on the 2% back link, place your order in the Rakuten window that opened GCs.com, use the Chase card you activated the offer on when you checkout, and you will get 2% back for the entire purchase price (less shipping fee) from Rakuten and Chase will give you 5% back once the charge posts to the eligible card with the activated offer (including shipping fee since Chase looks at the total and has no idea what was the item vs shipping).

Also, click on the "EARLYBIRD" code above where it says "Apply Promo Code" instead of typing it in.
I don’t have anywhere to click above the area you type it in. Maybe because I am on the mobile site? Anyone been able to buy from iPhone? Mine is still spinning after I typed the code.

It is possible that the discount for Disney gift cards is sold out, as the code is not showing anymore on the Disney page (even though it shows on the main page). This is typical of giftcards.com that they limit the number of giftcards at the discount and when they sell out the code just stops working even though it still shows on their website. (I have written about this on the past and how this a a very poor way of running a website).

For those buying on giftcards.com , there is also a paypal offer for 5%, you must activate this offer in your paypal offers first. I believe you can still get the chase offer when paying thru paypal, but at worst you will get the 5% from paypal and not Chase - at best, you will get both!

Been trying to purchase from for the past hour. Can not get the promo to apply. Just get a spinning wheel. Tried multiple devices. Finally resorted to their chat. Was told the deal is sold out. 13 day sale lasted a few hours?

Well that stink! Same thing is happening to me. I have been busy most of the day & was just able to join there now.

Anyone know if they generally restock or once they’re gone that’s it?

Yes, unfortunately I was at work all day (I am a teacher) and can't purchase stuff on my work computer (and the part of the school I work in gets no cell reception).

But as I said before, this is typical of giftcards.com sales, the high demand gift cards usually sell out in less than a day (even though they say the sale is for 13 days) and their terrible programming just leaves the code up there on their website even though they are sold out. There is no reason why they can't program it so the code doesn't show anymore once the item is sold out.

Thanks for the info. I’m not familiar with the site so I wasn’t sure about ordering when I read about it this morning. Now I know to jump in it next time. Although I suppose I could still order with the Chase & Rakuten cash back.

We've done the ShopRite gift card deal over 10 times and have never had an issue.. until now. Went to the store and redeemed last week's $25 earned from $100 spend without a problem. Then in a separate transaction I purchased another $100 DGC for this week's $15 but the promo code didn't show up on the receipt as it normally does. We went to the customer service counter, weekly circular in hand, to be told "there's nothing we can do, call ShopRite support". Not sure if we'll try again.. their customer service was abysmal and their attitude on top of it left us feeling terrible :(

If the store is not far from you, you should go back tomorrow and ask to speak to the manager and tell them what happened. When the code doesn't print properly, customer service is supposed to write the code on your receipt (they have it in a book with all the weekly promotions -sometimes they don't have it the first day of the week but by Thursday there is no question that they have it) and then also add the promotion in their computer system to your price plus account. This has happened to many of us in the past and this is what they have always done. You either encountered a really lazy or totally incompetent person at customer service and there is no excuse for that.

The weird thing with giftcards.com right now is if you enter anything in the Promo Code field, it just spins. If that code were sold out, wouldn't you expect it to only spin for that code? I can put anything into the promo code box and click Apply to get it to spin. Maybe their website is just overwhelmed with orders right now?

Yes! I've even had my regular customer service people issue me a $15 ShopRite gift card if they didn't have the code yet. I have never once been completely turned away. It's printed in the circular clear as day.

The person working the customer service desk definitely did not know what they were doing, but they did get someone who we just assumed was the manager (she was in an office behind a locked door), although maybe not since they never came far enough out of the office to see a name tag.

Thanks to you both for your input, if I can make it back I will. Will give our business to a different ShopRite location slightly further away from now on I think.

I know in my store that person is usually the book keeper or cash office person. Not necessarily the manager on duty or overall store manager.

If you call or visit the manager in person with no satisfaction I would submit a form on the ShopRite website. It will ask what store you visited and for your PricePlus card number. One time a digital coupon wasn't coming off eligible products. It was minimal so I didn't bother bringing it up in the store, but I submitted the form online explaining what happened. ShopRite loaded the value of the digital coupon to my PricePlus for use on a future purchase.
