NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Finally got all four of my cards and consolidated them! Took foreverrrrr! Had a family member who was going to purchase me more but they look to be sold out now. Boo!

I ordered four cards as two orders of 3 and then 1 at around 10am. The first order arrived instantly (before even the order received email!) and none of the cards initially worked on DGC (thanks everyone for reporting here, it was my first place to check if it was just me). The second order took half an hour to arrive, and also didn't work. I tried again now, 8 hours later, and all but the very first card are were able to be added to DGC. Why does just one card have to be difficult? :headache:

Same, 12 hours later, 3 loaded, one did not. I have spent far too much time on hold with DGC services today and have been disconnected several times after prolonged holds (very thankful it's a Friday and not busy at work). I just called again and was told this card - just this one, for whatever reason - is on hold, despite the fact that I was told this card was NOT on hold on two prior phone calls. It was all I could do not to lose it a little. I told them I leave for Orlando in less than the 48 hours they say they need to unlock it (this is true), and that I want my $200 unlocked or refunded today, by whatever means they require, and that I am happy to provide any ID/proof of legitimate card ownership, etc. She said she would have it unlocked in an hour. I'll report back on that.

I know these holds are intended to prevent fraud, but this seems random, with only one of four held. I have lost my patience.

my fingers are crossed for you! No matter what happens, have a great trip!!

Thank you! This card absolutely is not critical to my trip - I'll have a blast, I'm sure! I just really dislike being unable to access my own funds. I get similarly upset about taxes that I've overpaid by accident! (You know it's annoying me when I compare Disney to the IRS, amirite?)

They made changes this year and from what was stated if you turn off monthly auto pay you had to pay the balance in full. So since you can only use one card to make this payment and gift cards only are capable of holding $1,000 I would think you have to pay it down to $1,000 or less.
Now MA might be able to take multiple cards over the phone but I am not sure.

I just pay for it upfront so I don’t have any experience with this but I know there were several upset folks when the changes rolled out for this years dues.
I used gift cards last year for all my dues (more than $1000) and paid online. Just select to pay by contract and you can use as many as you need. Just consolidate to $1000 max for each gift card to make it easier.

Sam’s Club report: Made an order for three cards at 8:55 am and a second order for one card at 9:53 am. I have not received them yet.

This is my first time trying Sam’s Club. I wasn’t overly impressed when I went to one last week and I’m not impressed with how this is being handled, so I’m likely done after this year.

Just wanted to say - I have ordered tons of dgc from Sam’s, this type of sale and otherwise. It’s the only reason I have a membership, I have paid for several trips this way in the last 2 years. I have never experienced anything like this.

Update - as promised, an hour later, my card is no longer locked. I was able to add it to my account and can see the balance. Very happy I don't have to pay for my tour spot with other trip funds!

Bottom line - it seems they are able to unlock with some urgency if needed (presuming this was not simply a coincidence).

I bought 4 Disney egift cards this morning online and bought 4 more in-club. Here's the warehouse in-club ad. Limit 4 per member. :cool1::cool1:

I didn’t know why I didn’t realize they’d be on sale in the store. 🤦🏻‍♀️. The Sam’s club in my area is over 20 minutes away. We were in the area & just stopped in there yesterday. Don’t think I’ll get back there this weekend. But good to know for the future.

Right?! Honestly I don't recall anyone posting an in-club ad before, so I'll update the main thread. Hopefully they'll offer both next year.

Oh, I used only ONE account for both purchases for a total of 8 DGC (4 online & 4 in-club). :thumbsup2
