Yep, I got the same response from customer service on 1 of my four cards last night. I think it's also a fraud protection - to prevent scammers from quickly transferring card amounts before CC charge even has time to transact.Update. I called the 877 number to check the balance of my 1 DGC for which I was still getting an error on the website. Connected me to a representative (in just a few minutes - surprised it took so little time). The card shows a $200 balance but she said it was on hold and the funds had not been released yet. She put in a request to have the funds released and said it would take no more than 24-48 hours. My guess is Sam's and/or Disney has put this in as a security feature to help prevent fraud - basically, a delayed release of the funds. Or just plain nonsense is always another explanation.
I ordered another 4 this morning about 7:45 (with a different Sam's account than the one last night). Got the order confirmation e-mail, but have yet to receive the actual gift cards.
Ordered and received 4. I’m waiting till things cool down a bit before I make any attempt to consolidate.I also got my 4 cards this morning around 8:50. Got the confirmation and gift card emails within minutes. However, cannot add any to the Disney Gift Card site either and get an oops screen when just try to check the balance as well.
Should I call or just wait? I am in no hurry, other than to transfer the balance on the new cards to an existing ione.

Ok, this error thing is annoying. I was planning to use these today to pay for a VIP tour spot on a shared tour - we all agreed to pay today. I am going to be seriously, seriously PO'd if I have to dip into my trip savings to pay for something I already had the funds set aside for.

And you know what they say about thatHow were you going to pay? Do you have to call or is there an online place? Why not just use the 4 separate gift card numbers? It’s not as convenient but the funds are still available.

No Sam’s didn’t know why it was cancelled and there is stock. I asked to see if that’s why it cancelled but reading posts that’s not the casemaybe they sell out?
