NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Some systems have a problem with the Visa gift cards. If the purchase is for more than the gift card, it sometimes times tries to pull the whole amount and then when there's not enough, it rejects it. Some stores allow you to split a payment and then you can just key in the amount of the gift card and sometimes that goes through. However, sometimes they don't work at all on the card systems. I work at a charity store and for whatever reason, those never work on our system.

This was a store that i used the Visa prepaid before many times, and I never had an issue before. But as I said, the balance said $0 and then 10 minutes later it said it had $200 so I'm pretty sure the issue was at Blackhawk Network.

Has anyone gotten the 10x points yet from Paze? I just placed a $10 DGC order on Newegg to see if it tracks. It sounds like the offer tracks quickly for people.

Didn't work for me - said "as a current member, you're not eligible" and yet my membership expired April 30th and I get emails telling me to renew 🤔 Guess this is a sign I'm really done with BJs and hope I don't suddenly see all sorts of amazing offers on here. 👀
Sorry, the membership needs to have already expired for the $5 renewal to work.

My current membership ends in about a month so I used an old email that expired a year+ ago and it worked. For $5 I figured why not? Practically free at that point.

It didn't work for me either on a membership that expired about a year ago.

I wonder if you have to be past the 2 month grace period for it to work.

If you renew your membership during your expiration month or within 2 months after the expiration month, you will retain your current expiration month for the renewed year.
Since you're within those 2 months where they would just treat it like you didn't lapse, it might not be eligible for the promo.

(Which kinda sucks anyway cuz you're paying for 2 months you presumably didn't use the membership. If I let it expire I always just sign up with a new account; I really don't care about any history.)

When I did the promo last year I used an account that had been expired for close to a year.

Paze 10% is very valuable. This equates to at least 15% back if you are in the points game. I will likely be maxing out the $1500/mo/card on a few cards. Lol.

Yes I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention considering the fervor over the Sam's and DG deals.

I think most people don't value their Chase Ultimate Rewards points 1.5 cents a point, people in the points game do, but that is not most people. It leads to the age old argument of whether you are actually getting 1.5 cents or you just make yourself think you are getting that. Case in point: A person books a business class flight that costs $1000 for 50,000 points and they say oh great, I just got 2 cents per point. But if you wouldn't have had the points and had to pay cash, would you have taken that business class flight? If the answer is no, then you aren't really getting 2 cents per point. It is no different than numerous studies that have shown that when you get a coupon from your supermarket for $ off your next shopping order, most people end up buying something that they wouldn't have bought if they didn't have the coupon.

URs can instantly be cashed out at a penny a piece which makes it equal to the Sams deal at the very least, no? I live in a major United and Southwest hub and have 2 Southwest companion passes in my family so will easily get my moneys worth but seems like anyone can save an extra 10% with this deal without having to leave their house.

Yes, this deal is an easy 10% +1% = 11% cash back if you value the points at cash value. The difference between this and the Sam's Club is that the Sam's club deal had the thrill of buying it exactly when it went on sale and being one of the lucky ones to get it, which is why there were 10 pages of comments. This one doesn't have the thrill element even though the savings are pretty much the same. It is a perfect example of business economics, creating thrill is just as important as the savings.

On a personal note, I don't consider 10% to be that great, which is why I didn't jump on the Sam's Club deal and I don't know if I will jump on this one.
