i am so sorry that happened. i can't believe Chase would not give you your money back.
There are time limits to disputes. If you are past that time period when you file (generally about 2-3 months, varies by bank/processor) you will not get your money back. By requiring people wait 45 days that runs a lot of the clock out and people will end up past the filing period before they come to accept they might have been defrauded and need to file with their bank.
 
Anyone had problems the Target.com DGC orders lately? Whenever we have a Circle promo (like spend $100 3 times, get rewards back), we usually order DGC's but the last two times there have been issues.

A couple months ago, the GC said it was delivered but did not actually show up until a week after the "delivery" date. And just this month, 18 days and no GC. Called Target and they are crediting it, so no rewards. This last one was weird - Target status said it was delivered to our address about one week after ordering but the detailed tracking shows it bouncing around Kentucky and never reaching our state of FL, then the tracking just stops. I'm about ready to give up on those promos, unfortunately.

Why aren't you ordering e-gift cards? I think most of us stick to e-gift cards and they arrive within 24 hours, usually much faster.
 

Update: I deleted and re added it and the correct balance was there. Whew!
Has anyone ever had a card load to the DGC site and it show $0.00 but your email said you loaded a card with the correct amount? The transaction history also shows the correct load amount and doesn't show history of it being used.

Good question! The DW likes her "real" GC's rather than a printed one. I will have to go the e-card route from now on and just have her combine onto a real card if she needs it. Thanks!
That's what I do - I now have a collection of physical DGCs so that I can transfer funds from the eGCs to them (and then delete both from the website). I feel the funds are more secure that way. When one GC gets full (to $1,000) I buy another physical one for $15-$25 and start adding to that one.

I just go into the store to buy physical cards when I’m fulfilling the bonus offers. But my target is only about 7 minutes away, so it’s not too inconvenient.
 
Just a reminder to hang onto to Target receipts for gift cards! When I gave my DGC to CM at check in to scan she informed me that card had $0. I called Disney gift card number and was told card had not been activated! When I returned home I took the card and my receipt back to Target and was told there was nothing they could do and that I had to call Customer Service. I tried calling customer service multiple times always getting connected to someone with limited English or accent I couldn’t understand. I then tried the online chat and after an hour mostly spent waiting for their responses and giving my name and contact info multiple times I was finally told my case was being sent to an escalation team. The next day I received an email asking for copy of receipt and photos of both sides of my gift card. The day after that I finally received an email stating they were able to confirm that my card had indeed not been successfully activated despite what it showed on my actual receipt. I spent 4 days dealing with this and discovered their customer service is located out of the USA.

A few years ago I had a problem with a $50 gift card that had nothing on it when I went to use it and I was not able to get anywhere with one and just lost the money. This gift card was for $100 and I wasn’t giving up. The email I finally received told me to destroy card and I would be refunded within 10-14 days.

I am too! I can see how easy it is for people to lose their money. they need to be shut down.
 
I had a couple of successful purchases 5-6 years ago, but I was always nervous waiting a few weeks for them to finally send the cards. And IIRC, they never listed a seemingly legitimate physical address. I feel like they have to be pulling something, but I don't know that anyone has figured it out. It's just not worth taking the chance anymore in my opinion.
totally not worth it. it sounds like something changed over there and they are no longer legitimate.
