NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

With all these layoffs/firings/closures/tariffs, anyone second guessing whether taking a vacation is a good idea, possibly taking a wait & see approach?

We decided last year to not travel in 2025 with anticipation of staying in Japan 2026 for 3 weeks, maybe four, but that is becoming a wait & see for us. I've already purchased a few MC/Visa for stateside travel, I'm thinking of holding off for the remainder of the year until we know more.
Not us. We have a spring break driving trip to Canada, Memorial Day weekend trip to Disney & 3 week June trip to Japan.

My husband has a contract with his company that if he gets fired/laid off they have to pay 6 months salary no matter what. But AI is hot right now, and he’s considered an expert so someone would scoop him up.

Wait, have I been doing this wrong all along? I did not know that it still counts with the redcard discount. Mind blown

Yes 😂 . Just know that this only applies with the 5% RedCard discount. Any other discounts that Target may offer on items (i.e. $2 off deodorant) will not count towards the qualifying total.

I teach in one of the states in the northeast so I’m not as nervous as I would be if I were in a Midwest or southern state but the fear of the unknown is definitely nerve wrecking. I am definitely looking to cut costs everywhere we can though. Just so much uncertainty.
Yea I am in the midwest so……also in the arts/social sciences….so I am brushing up on my resume.

Man everyone is hitting Japan, maybe you’ll be on my plane 😂. Let me know if you want my recommendations, I handed off a list to Foxy and some others. We live there with my in laws over the summer so we make the trip a lot.

Also heads up June is rainy season!

Maybe if you are flying out of JFK. Yeah, know June isn’t the best time, but both kids are in school and we can’t take them out for long periods. And later in the summer just doesn’t get better with typhoon season.

Already have my plan - Hiroshima-Okayama-Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo-Matsumoto-Tokyo. With many day/side trips along the way. A little worried about trains. I know I struggled a bit 20+ years ago, but maybe google will help now.

I wonder what Easter gc goodies are on the horizon.
Speaking of offers, we've seen waaay better than this....but for those in need.

Thanks for posting this. It’s $5 off the already discounted price of $79.99 so the final cost is $74.99 or a 25% discount.

I saw this in-store the other day and expect to buy it over the weekend. My preference would be Lyft for my March trip, but I can't find any deals comparable to this one.

I prefer Lyft too. They seem a little cheaper and arrive a little faster. Will probably save the Uber GC’s for Uber Eats on upcoming trips. The 25% discount makes me feel better about paying the higher prices, delivery fees and tips.

Finally, I received my Target Bonus 2*140 for 30. Not bad; I just received all my eDGC. The ePony Express is a little slow coming through out here in the wild, wild West.

Great find!

I’m assuming that you will be able to use these at Outback and Bone Fish Grill as well.

Great question, but I'm not sure. Maybe worth a call to customer service?

I wonder if it will code as restaurants to use the Discover 5% or your favorite dining CC

I just checked the charge on my CC and the merchant category was "Miscellaneous - Poi Funding Transactions" so I doubt it would flag as a restaurant purchase.

Edit to add:

Lyft:

My Target offer is spend $70 × 2 and get $15. So it's a straight 10% back for me since I will have to buy $150 of DGC. I will take it as I have a family of 7 to buy DLR tickets!

A bit better than that, since you'll be getting $3.75 off each purchase with your Red Card, so you'll actually be getting $150 for $127.50, so 15% off.

I’ve got spend $50 4 times, get $20 in circle rewards.
Next week Target has $5 off $50 airtime cards. That won’t count will it since it has the discount, right? I don’t think they let you buy 2 in one transaction and get the discount twice. Have to buy them one at a time.

Just like I suspected. Last night I bought $800 of gift cards to pay for tickets and the next day I get the Target bonus. Luckily we still need gift cards for our trip to help pay for LL and food
I have not had great success with using DGC for LLs. If you have a far enough window, you might be okay because it takes time to input the numbers and every moment counts when securing LLs.

10% offers found on my US Bank card, these can be available on Chase cards too. I see some that I have on multiple Chase cards like Amazoni Fresh (5%). I also have some that aren't on my Chase but others did get it like the DG one. So worth a check on both.

Best Buy

And I might be outdated since I don't shop here usually, but if Kohl's still has GC -
Kohl's
Earn 10% cash back
Up to $7.00
42 days left: offer ends April 05

And in a YMMV on GC but any discount on fuel or food is good in my book -
