What do you mean by “Use a different shopping portal?” Also, just to clear up any confusion, I can buy giftcards.com cards at 10% off, and then use them to buy DGC at 10% off as well. Can I use the same account and email address as well? Are the giftcards.com cards sent electronically? I’m running out of time before my trip, so I don’t have the ability to wait twice for shipping.

Is there a reason to pay via PayPal vs. CC?

If you have a Chase Freedom or Freedom Flex card one of the categories for Q4 is PayPal.

These cards have rotating quarterly categories that allow you to earn 5% back on your purchases up to $1,500 per Quarter ($75 back). After the max is reached you would earn the normal rate for the category.

Thus if you have not maxed out Paypal and have one of those cards you could save an extra 5% as opposed to just using a CC by itself.

After trying to purchase the giftcards.com cards it seems as if the discount is only good for up to a $300 purchase. I started by trying to buy $1800 in various increments and it would not work no matter what I did. Eventually I tried one $100 card and that worked. I tried eighteen $100 cards, and it would take off only $30.

Yeah they updated the website. I had it in my cart with the offer applied but the website crashed and then my cart was empty. It now says 10% off $100 for their gift cards. The early bird gets the worm.

There are usually limits, seems that this one is $300, so if you had 1-3 $100 cards it would have worked.

I tried adding another $100 card on a separate transaction and it will go through, and then the screen will refresh saying that the order has been cancelled. All 5 of the transactions for $270 ($300 minus 10%) are showing as pending in my credit card account, so we’ll see.

Does anyone get repeated cancellations when they try to purchase DGCs from GiftCards.com. No matter what purchase methodology (paypal, CC, Debit, Apple Pay, etc) still get Cancelled. Tried $500, $1000, $1500 - with having to pay shipping, I don't want to break the into multiple purchases and ship 10 $100 gift cards. - Anyone know a way around this - I haven't made an account or anything.

For what it’s worth, I entered $500 as the DGC amount and applied the discount code. The balance shows as $450 in my cart.
