NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

I forgot to update my Target app 🤦🏻‍♀️

I first checked the app for the latest circle bonus spend offer. No luck. Later that day I looked on the website and I was targeted. Today I checked my progress in the app and the bonus wasn’t even there. Updated the app and bam, showed up. I’m having a memory of this happening before so here’s a reminder to update your app if you don’t see a bonus!

The details of the Lidl promotion are up, and it does include Visa and Disney gift cards and pretty much most gift cards sold at Lidl except for Lidl gift cards and google play gift cards. You can see the full list of which gift cards are eligible at the link below:

https://www.lidl.com/holiday-gift-cards
Promotion is buy a $100 gift card and get $20 on your Lidl account. Does anyone know if you can then buy another gift card with the $20?

OOOH, maybe if I update my app also... I am missing all these bonuses that everyone seems to get. Worth a try!

Target Circle:

Hubby go $90 x 2 for $15. I got $140 x 4 for $40. Both by 12/30/24

We have a World trip in July and a cruise in November, so I'll probably go ahead and do both. Not loving how high the spend requirement is on my offer, but still good enough to build up some volume given the amount of spend we'll have next year.

I got the same promo. The problem is that you can't buy $140 worth of gift cards. You have to buy $150 worth instead.

Right, I think that's true of a lot of their promos, though. They make it $70, $90 or $140 and you either have to buy merchandise to bridge the gap or go to the next multiple of 25. I honestly can't remember the last one where I didn't have to buy over, at least a little bit.

Are we all hoping that the 12th day of Costco deals brings the Disney GC? Today is Landry's which is as Disney adjacent as my hopium can make it
Are these days of Christmas at Costco? Just good for the one day only? I would rather have a physical card than a E card but won’t be at a Costco till tomorrow.

However if you buy a $100 and a $50 DGC with the 5% discount you will only spend $142.50 so you are not spending the whole $150. It's worse when it's say spend $110 X times to get a reward.

I think the point that @TheOneWithTheTriplets and @robinb were making was you are still spending over the threshold needed for the reward. I think I have only seen a handful of offers that could be met by spending amounts obtainable with a Disney Gift Card. I believe they were a flat $100 spend xx times for the reward.

You are ultimately saving the same % on your initial red card purchase it just makes it more difficult to obtain the offers as you have to buy something other than gift cards.

No they put up different deals daily but leave the previous day's deals still available for purchase. However I'm not remembering now what happens with the 12th and last day. They may leave the deals up after tomorrow but just not include any new ones. As for the DGC I'm actually thinking less and less that it'll be repeated this year but if it's going to happen then it's going to be this weekend or Monday the latest. Can't see them adding it passed that window of time.

Right, I know what the cost is with the RedCard discount. Whenever you have to go higher to hit the spend, that reduces the percent value of the circle rewards earned.

My 140×4 could have been $560 in value ($532 red card charge) for $40 in rewards but I have to go up to $600 in value ($570 red card charge) to hit the same $40 if I want to do it all in DGC.

The $110 is certainly worse because it's further from a $25 increment. But, my post wasn't comparing which of the weird value requirements were better or worse; it was just stating that it seems like nearly all of them these days *are* a weird valid that requires going up the next $25 increment rather than hitting it right on.

I keep a few small items that I know I'll need at some point in my "saved for later" list to add to my card when I need another $10 or so, like multi-purpose cleaner refill. Also keep something that costs about $50 for the bigger bonuses--most recently a video game DH wanted.
But I don't always have something like that saved up and see your point.

last year it wasn't a daily deal and it lasted past xmas, so there may still be a chance.

Unless this has changed very recently, the eligible amount to meet the threshold is calculated before the red card discount…?
