Yes, I was extremely disappointed to find this out when I bought a 3,000 dollar TV from them and got no points.Do you have to have the Best Buy credit card to earn the rewards now?

DH ordered from his account using his BB card, I ordered from mine using a different CC. We both got confirmation emails, then DH got the same cancellation email you did. Grrr.Dang, they canceled one of our orders. I’m guessing that’s my mistake for using the same credit card on both mine and my wife’s Best Buy account. Unless they canceled it due to having the same billing address.
"Unfortunately, we had to cancel your order because it has exceeded our orderable quantity limits." Only purchased one per account.
I agree with the buying power of Sam's and BJ's you would think they could offer more of a discount. There's no way they're taking a loss on that many GCs which means even if that deal was at their cost price it's insane that other major retailers only have a few percentage points off as their normal sales. Assuming others like BJs and Sam's can get it at the same pricing as BB they should routinely be putting them on sale for at least 10% off. Unless they have to get some sort of permission from Disney for that...who knows the logistics.
I guess it's possible that Disney has to give permission to go beyond a certain percentage off? And I really doubt BB took a loss today on those. Costco is the only company I know that is willing to sell a loss leader like their rotisserie chickens but that brings a lot of customers into the physical store. Nobody is sticking around Bestbuy.com to shop because they opened the app just for the DGC. So in my mind I now assume Disney sells their gift cards in bulk for 20% off to major retailers.I agree with the buying power of Sam's and BJ's you would think they could offer more of a discount.
Meijer is the only place I've seen where I can regularly get a 10-20% savings without factoring in credit card points.
Same, no notification sent.UGH no notification prior to 11am and was still thinking the BB drop was at noon so completely missed the boat. Congrats to all!

Oh well, at least we got one. The $100 has already been transferred to a physical DGC, so it’s safely in our possession, nothing left in cyberspace.

I was refreshing over and over at 11 trying to get to my cart and still didn't get it.Same, no notification sent.
It has not always been $100. Last year it was the $50 gc for $45. I just looked at my email from December 2023.
it's always been the $100. The alert is that the deal drops at 11am EST.
Maybe, if they matched the home addresses on the two different accounts or on the credit cards? The cancellation email arrived literally one minute after the confirmation email did.BB terms and conditions state the following "At any time after receipt of your order, we may accept, decline, or place quantity or other limits on your order for any reason. We may impose these limits on a per-person, per-household, per-order, or any other basis." So maybe they canceled these orders because of the per-household rule.
Thanks was not sure if that was the case. I thought they had moved away from everybody getting points but I usually buy Apple which never earned points anyway.I was aware of the change, but do have a Best Buy Citi Card. Hopefully the deal helps someone with excess points...
Did you or anyone happen to get the 20 back in rewards on 200 for just ordering the gift cards? It seems there was some confusion as to whether that would work or not.Big thanks to everybody on these forums who help each other out
With the BJ's sales and the Best Buy sale today, I was able to get $300 worth of Disney GC's for $267.92! My mom & I take mother/daughter trips every 2 years and the sales I find out about on here really help us get to do Disney our way and save money doing it, so thanks a bunch!!![]()

The $50 for $40 DGC last year was a different deal then the one that went live today. That deal was a multi day sale allowing you to get multiple cards. If you had a BB Business account you could get 9 per day. I believe last year they also did the same deal they did today for the $100 cards but you were limited to one.Last year the limit per day was 3. But I was able to do them multiple days with the same account.
