New Disney article in NY Times

ok so everything is down, but at least they're still making profits not losses...

$954 million dollars profit in a 3 month period, on $8.6 billion in revenues is pretty darn good.....
a reduction in profits of 26% from the same period last year isn't all that tragic considering the economy...
and revenues fell 7% in the quarter, again not tragic at all considering the economy...

(and if you exclude the accounting changes, disney beat wall street expectations....again, not bad)...

as you said Chad, it's as was expected...which given the economy, isn't bad at all....
it could have been much worse.....and it probably will be in the next quarter......but eventually things will turn around....

Well surely if they had released UP here too they could have increased their profits in that area :confused3 Serves them right for making us wait :p

Ya this doesn't actually seem too troubling. They were right on par for expectations and still made a profit. At times like this, its hard to complain about that.
