New Discounts Codes for 1/2-4/26/11 & 5/1-6/5/11, Not as good as in the past.

Just keep in mind in 1 week the general public offer will end so these offers will more than likely become the general public ones. Too bad I will be waiting a little longer for Fall 2011 discounts.:sad2:

I'm wondering, if we just finished our first trip to WDW, will we get the snail mail pin codes eventually? And are these pin codes very different from the general public discounts? We chose the free dining our first trip, but I'm curious if next time a room discount would be a better deal for us.:)

Last year POFQ had the same discount as the other moderates. I wonder why this year the mod discount is 30%, but POFQ is only 15% off?

My guess...and it was a guess...is because they are doing the re-furb at the FQ and it's supposed to be done by then.

Why ASMo was less of a code then the others perplexed me...my understanding is that it is the one in greatest need of a re-furb.

Thank you for verifying that this deal does cover Easter Sunday. This is the first deal for Easter that I've heard of. :)

I don't think this deal covers Easter. Isn't it the last week of April this year?

The dates are:

For stays most nights 1/2-4/16/11 & 5/1-6/5/11

Yup, Easter is April 24, which is why I specifically asked OP if the title of this thread is correct. OP replied indeed it is! I was suprised it covers Easter as this is the first deal I've heard that does.

I was there the week of Halloween and it was VERY busy.... But, it was Halloween so I'm sure that's why.

Thanks, I was wondering.

Thanks. I asked someone about when Easter was this year and the information was incorrect.

Sorry. I made a mistake. I should have remembered Disney doesn't typically offer discounts on holidays.

Hoping this goes to the gen public! What about if we are checking in on April 14th??? Would we qualify for the discount?

Oh well, I had a feeling it was too good to be true :). Actually since the economy took a turn, Disney has been giving deals during Easter. Right now we've got a deal in place until April 16, but I've been watching like a hawk for any deals offered the following week after that.

I believe Disney now does the room-only rates per night, meaning you'd get the deal on April 14, 15, 16, and then pay rack rate for the following nights.

Disney seems to be experimenting with lower discounts on the resorts that seem to sell out fastest when promotions are released. It makes sense; if they can get more money for those resorts then from a business perspective they should try. They were doing that with GF with some recent promotions.

I'm not saying I like it though because I do like POFQ and with the queen beds it'll be even more popular. Since it's the smallest resort to begin with, it'll definitely sell out even faster than ever if they offer the same discount.

I wouldn't be surprised if next year POFQ priced with a premium over other moderates just because they know people will pay it. No matter how we think of Disney, they are first and foremost a business.

There is also the fact that after Jan 1st all the other moderates will now have 'preferred rooms' that are closer to the main building. These rooms will be more expensive than the standard rooms. CBR has always had them, but CSR and PORS will start having them Jan 1st. With POFQ being so small there is no need for them there. That was the main reason we chose POFQ for our May trip. We wanted to be close to the main building, but did not want to pay the price for a preferred room at CSR, CBR, or PORS. If the GP and AP discount is actually only 15% at POFQ I'm not sure what we'll do now. Probably switch to another moderate though and just take our chances that our standard room won't be that far from the main building.:confused3
