My coffee maker died. I need suggestions on a new one. Less than $100 is a must. I also want black and stainless to match my decor. I bought a Mr Coffee one last night and hate it. The way is pours coffee stinks and the coffee was not very hot. HELP find me a new pot

We used to have a Mr. Coffee - one of the newer ones and hated it! We just got married and we got this one and LOVE it!!!!

No carafe, the whole thing comes out to clean it, has a timer to set to auto brew in the morning, drip pan pulls out so you can place travel mugs under it and cleanup is really a breeze!

I love my Cuisinart with the stainless steel thermal carafe. I bought mine at the Williams Sonoma Outlet. I thought I would "treat" myself and get the one that included the coffee grinder. HUGE mistake. It is SOOO loud! It sounds like an airplane landing in my kitchen!! I just waiting for some excuse to buy another WITHOUT the grinder. It has been 3 years....tick tock

Are we on the same cruise?! Serenity Now. We can meet for coffee!

Bed Bath and Beyond always has the 20% discount and Macys always has good sales too. I googled reviews and went with Cuisinart because we have other appliances from them and have never had a problem. Plus the outlet had them just under $100, my budget as well. I also got the gold cone filter so the paper filters would not soak up the oil in the grounds. That is where most of the flavor is. Learned that at a Starbucks seminar. That was fun, learned a lot!

Please post which one you decide on. I am also curious just to know what else is available but will probably stick with Cuisinart if and when I can switch it out.

We have this one and liked it but now have a Keurig and LOVE IT!!

We bought this one. I had a $10 coupon and when I went to check out the lady said "oh the 20% off will be better" I told her I didn't have that coupon and she said she was just going to take it off anyway. :yay: I think the pot has a retro look with the knobs and all. DH likes the empty to full dial reminds in of a gas tank, ha. Bottom line my coffee was hot and easy to use.

We use our Bunn at home and I have my Keurig at work. I love the keurig. I just gave my daughter the keurig mini and she loves it. A keurig is great is you are looking for a fresh cup of coffee each time. We use the Bunn because my husband likes to take a pot of coffee in his thermos in the morning. Both are quick!

Another vote for the Keurig. I love it! I get the k-cups through the Amazon subscribe & save program and that's awesome, too!

Tell me how that thing works.

I've had my Keurig for about 2 years now and still love it. The only appliance I would grab in case of disaster!

The Keurig has a resevior for water. The K cups come in a variety of brands and flavors. Also offering teas/hot chocolate. You basically just lift the handle, and place the K cup in it's receptical. Lower the handle, and select the size of the cup you wish to brew. My DH for instance uses a stonger blend but brews a larger cup, so you can play around with it that way. You make your selection, push the button and your coffee is dispensed into your mug. Lift the handle, remove and throw away the used k cup. That simple. No pot to clean, no coffee grounds to mess with. Depending on the model, you had the capability of programing your machine to turn on/off. The machine is basic black with chrome accents. When turned on, it is backlit with a blue light that shines thru the water receptical.

There are numerous vendors where you can purchase your K cups. I personally use www.coffeeforless thru my points. K cups run about $.40/cup.

They also have reusable k-cup adpater things you can put your own grounds in. You have to wash them, but they save money in the long run.

I got this as a Birthday gift. It is now 7 months old

So far, it is the best coffee maker I have ever had.

I've used the Bodum Santos (Great coffee, Pain to clean), a Braun Flavor Select (eh, and then the switch fuse broke), and a Cuisinart Grind n Brew (This never brewed hot enough and if you tried to use enough coffee for a full pot of water the whole thing exploded).

I wanted the Technivorm, but not being able to set it the night before made me sad. Then I found the Zojirushi.

The pedigree of hot water kettles and rice makers had me thinking that they had hot water down, and I was right. This brews very hot, brews a full 1.5 liter with a #4 cone filter filled to the top with grounds, and the coffee is as good as at Intelligentsia. (Lovely floral notes that I could NEVER get out of the Cuisinart.)

And the carafe keeps it reasonably hot for a couple of hours. After that, it loses the subtlety but is still drinkable.
