LOL, I hardly expect to play world class tennis anytime in my life.
I am a rank beginner.
B]I just meant you should be there to play a lighthearted game of tennis - not one so serious that noise (of any kind) from the pool area or playground area is going to ruin your day.[/B]
But, by your reasoning, they could put a pool by the golf course and any noise that bothered the golfers could be passed off as: Opps, you are at Disney, what did you expect. Trust me, the golfers would rule on this one.

Maybe - but the golf course was not put in near the pool/playground area. You knew that's where the courts were when you decided to play.
The playground is rarely used or has noise coming from it.
Really? It's usually pretty busy when we've visited. (and we normally sit near the kiddie pool & playground). I guess you've been lucky though . But either way, being that the courts are right next to the playground & pool, that's a chance you take . But happy to hear you've been lucky so far as to not be disturbed.
The one or two times I heard any horrible noise from there it was because some kid was having a temper tantrum because mommy decided it was time to go. The pool however, is a constant source of noise (which, for the most part can be ignored). Screams and shreiks, however, cannot be ignored.
Kids scream when they use a slide. Why, I do not know. Regardless of the reason, it is distracting.
Yes, but kids are going to screetch and yell with or without the slide - they do this when they play at a pool when jumping in the water, playing games, etc. I hardly believe the addition of a slide will bring that much more schrieking or screeming than already is going on.
OKW is laid back and it is, for the most part, quiet. As I said before, I like that. If I want noise I will stay at BWV.
I like the fact that each
DVC resort is unique, the lack of a slide and the serene makup of OKW make is unique, I really see no reason to change that. [/B]
