I just read this over at Deb's site!! and RADP!

Many folks were anticipating that the next new Character Dining Experience would be the much rumored Toy Story character meal. Not so, according to what ALL EARS hears.

There will be a new set of characters for dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. Called Cinderella's Gala Feast, the potential characters include: Cinderella, Prince Chariming, Suzy and Perla, the Fairy Godmother, Lady Tremaine, and those two nasty stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella.

The new experience begins on January 5, 2003 and Priority Seatings can be made 120 days in advance. Price for adults is $23.99 and for children ages 3-11 $10.99 (which includes dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. Hours are 5:00pm to 8:40pm.

Now we're going to get Princess overload!;)

I love the idea of the entire Cinderella cast, rather than the assorted princesses! Now there will even be a few villians to round things out.
Still love the Toy Story idea though. Maybe soon.

Thanks for the info!!!! Just made a PS for Jan 5 for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The CM confirmed that that is the start date for Cinderella's Gala Feast.

Chated with the CM for a bit about how they urged Disney to add the Norway breakfast due to CRT popularity. Apparently the Story Book Princess breakfast is a hit as there are no PS's available for Jan 3 - 5 for the trip DW just planed with her mother. I did get her in on the 6th. I bet it won't be long before the new Cinderella dinner becomes a CRT-like circus when getting PS's.

I just read abou tthis also and got reservations for Feb 17th!!! DD will be SOOO EXCITED!!!

I wonder if it is still going to be buffet-style? The phrase "dessert included" makes me think it is family-style meal? Hope the bread pudding w/vanilla sauce isn't gone.

Thanks for posting! :)

*whew*!! I got nervous when I read the title of this thread, I was so afraid the new Cinderella dinner might be in the castle! I'm glad it's not; I love going to dinner in the castle and just relaxing and enjoying the ambiance :)

As for all the people who are unable to get a PS for the Cinderella Breakfast in the castle, I think this is a great alternative for them.

I still wish they'd bring the "Villain's Dinner" back....somewhere!! We loved it when it was 1900 Park Faire :)

Thanks again!! I just got reservations! The CM was floored I knew anything of it as they just announced it today. I blamed it on we disboarders with no life....
;) ;)

Does anyone know what the menu will be????

Thanks so much for the info! Just got off the phone and got ressies for our Feb 12 trip! The CM I spoke to said this was a buffet and the prices were $23.99/adult and $10.99/ages 3-11. I am so excited about this! Thanks Again!!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Oh, I wish they'd bring back the old "Villains Dinner," too. It was the only time that I felt truly at home (hee hee). ;)

Thanks for the news flash!

Does this mean Cinderella won't be at the castle after the fireworks?

When we were there in October, we got in without a PS on a Saturday night, around 7:45 PM. We got a center table, with a beautiful view of the fireworks. When we left (time???) we were met by Cinderella in the throne room. This was our last night at WDW, and DD had been trying to get all the princesses' autographs. The only one she didn't have (until that night) was Cinderella! We couldn't believe our wonderful luck, to get in without a PS, and to have Cinderella waiting for us as we left. I still get goosebumps and teary eyes thinking of that magical time, and the glowing smile on my DD face!

Yipee!!!!!! Now there is someplace that I actually want to eat at the GF!!! That was one of the reasons I wanted to switch to WL! I may have to rethink...

Thanks for the post. Just got PS for Feb. 6. Of course during the call, it finally hit me that we had rescheduled our trip for the same week that we had tickets for the Jimmy Buffett concert in Columbia.

The cm at CRO told me that this is a buffet dinner with various salads, salmon, prime rib, pastas and buffalo wings as well as desserts and non-alcoholic beverages included. $24.00 for adults and $10 for kids. Seems to me that this a "bargain" compared to the breakfasts that are now $19.99 for adults . My husband will get more for his money at a prime rib dinner than he would at a bacon and eggs breakfast.

I'll be there March 10th !!!
The CM I talked to was very nice. He was surprised I already knew about it. He asked where I had heard about it because up until yesterday it was only a rumor and just showed up on their computers yesterday. I told him the dis- boards of course.
I am so greatful to everyone on these boards for their advice and tips. I have learned so much. This upcoming trip is going to be the best one ever !!!!
The cm told me he foresees this getting crazy like CRT for PS's. So if you are interested, make yours as soon as you hit 120 day mark. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Now I've got to add this one to our list of PSs for our Easter trip.:smooth:

Found out about this late last night. Will be updating the PS Calculator sometime tonight. Sorry for the delay but this came out of the blue. No rumors ahead of this or anything.

Yes, keep emailing WDW about the Toy Story CM. I think it should be in Hollywood and Vine in MGM. I was recently there and see no reason why the Toy Story characters couldn't walk about. Except for Woody and Buzz, they would be the greeters at the door.

Then, there's the Disney Heros CM that someone came up with where not only Toy Story characters would attend but others like Hercules, Stitch (a hero in my eyes! :teeth: ), Mulan, Aladdin, etc.

If you have a conflict with Jimmy Buffett tickets and your Disney trip, I'll be glad to take the tickets off your hands (live in Columbia) and tried by best to get tickets but couldn't get through on the phone lines:p

I took Scott's advice & e-mailed WDW about the Toy Story meal idea. As the Mom of 2 boys, I know they would just flip over Buzz, Woody & the gang...princesses don't do a whole lot for them. So far I only have a PS for 1 character meal- Chef Mickey's, although we may visit Crystal Palace if we don't see much of Pooh during our 9 day visit (which I kinda doubt). I hope they do see the marketing value in having a Toy Story meal or a hero meal like Scott mentioned and make some little boys (and girls) very happy!

Cinderella Gala Feast is such a great idea! I actually do not like character breakfasts because I feel they cut into prime ride time! And I am not an early riser, so I won't do the *breakfast before the parks open thing*. This is a fantastic alternative! I have PS for January 12th, Sunday night at 6pm! I can hardly wait! :teeth:
