Just bought myself a new digital camera, a Samsung Digimax 430. Anyway, I'm currently trying to get my head round using it and have read the manual many many times. It's getting there.........but, what I can't find is any advice on which batteries are best to use? Anyone have any ideas? I've always used cameras with lithium batteries, and they last ages?

Also, I will be taking 2 memory cards, the 32MB one I got with the camera and a 128MB one. But I know what I'm like for photos, and I don't think that's enough, (when I went for a week last time I took over 100 pics) and I don't want to spend half my money on memory cards. So, can anyone suggest a decent place to have some developed over there? Or, put them on a disk to bring them home? I'm not that clued up on digital photography, as you can see, so any advice will be most welcome!

The Samsung takes standard AA size batteries, so I would recommend you get some NiMh rechargeable batteries and a suitable charger (multivoltage input suitable for the US & UK).
Get 2 spare so you always have a set on charge :)

I would also look at getting another memory card - they soon fill up :)

I think they transfer memory cards to CD at Walmart.

Hi Julie Anne,

Just to confirm what Tim says - you can transfer memory cards to CD in Walmart (and also in WalGreen's which is a pharmacy / corner shop / general store and they are all over the place :)
