new but not new

After reading these boards since 1998 or 1999 (?), I have finally decided to say hello. I cannot tell you the number of times I have laughed with you and cried with you.

As you can see, I am live in south Mississippi with my wonderful DH and DS. Thankfully, they love Disney World as much as I. We have 2 cats and a cocker spaniel (13 years old) and a 9 month old boxer. They make life pretty exciting around here at times. I have taught special education at the high school level for the past 28 years.

Thank you for all pleasure I have received from reading these boards for these many years.

To answer your question Serena, we are returning to the World in June. We plan to stay at the Pop; however, I'm unsure about staying there. I have several questions about this new resort.

Also, I decided I wanted to be a part of this great community.

Hello Martha and a great big WELCOME! You will LOVE Pop Century. We stayed there in December for the opening. I can't wait to go back. Won't be until November, unfortunately. You will really love it. Make sure to say hi to Tyler. He is in the resorts board, he's Chip-n-Dale express. He set up a great FAQ thread. He works at Pop.

Hi Martha,
I'm also a special education teacher, but I teach in Kentucky at the elementary level. I have taught for 20 years in K-9th grade levels (12 of those years were at the middle school level). My family and I love Disney too and we will be staying at POP the last week of June and the first week of July. From all the information I've read from the POP thread, I think you will love the resort. It's close to so many of the parks! MK is the furthest and it's only a 15 minute ride. Are you taking children with you? Hopefully you'll have a wonderful trip!
