New Boathouse restaurant in downtown disney questions

I was able to book a lunch on MDE. Dinner times were only showing 4 pm. On my confirmation it said disney dining plans accepted. I'm guessing it's 2 TS since it says its a signature. I'll keep checking for a later dinner time.

I can't get any dinners to show up - I booked through Open Table a while back but would like to book through MDW instead so that all of our reservations are in one place.

I was told yesterday that a reservation will NOT show up if booked through Open Table, different reservation system. I THINK that DISNEY DINING should coordinate now that reservations are able to be made so that guests can have all reservations in MDE.

I think what they were saying was that they want to book through MDE so that their reservations show up altogether but at the moment there aren't any time slots showing up on MDE to reserve. Which is my problem too.

Just got mine for Sept 13 12pm. It also is now on my MDE list of reservations.

Disney will never allow Open Table reservations to show up in MDE because Disney doesn't want you to know you can make reservations for some of the DTD restaurants through Open Table. Disney doesn't want you to make risk-free reservations on Open Table when you can make that same reservation through Disney and be subject to their credit card guarantee.

I am not able to get anything to show on open table or Disney website. Is it really that booked or just a glitch? I actually can't get anything to show for any restaurant in Sept. today. Any thoughts anyone?

I would double check about the dining plan. Disney's page says does not accept dining plans

I can't get anything to show up at DTD for November dates I am plugging in (BOATHOUSE or other restaurants)... Just spend 20 min on hold with Disney Dining - they were no help at all :(

Thanks! Well that's why I was so confused (in my earlier post). On Disney's page it says dining plan not accepted and then when I made the reservation on my MDE confirmation page it says disney dining plans accepted. So I'm confused on which it is? Going to eat there regardless (since I already have enough TS and I would have to pay out of pocket for one of them anyway but so weird that it says no on one disney page and yes on the disney confirmation page.

How will the menu likely work for the dining plan, as it seems normal accompaniments to meals have to be ordered as sides?

I haven't been able to find any dinner ADR's at all either on MDE, the Disney website or on Open Table. Today I called the restaurant directly looking for a reservation for two at 5:30 on June 19th. I was given available times of 5:00, 6:00 and 6:30. I booked a time for 5:00 pm. I'm glad, but I have to admit I am very apprehensive of the long term quality and menu variety and uniqueness of this restaurant being on the DDP. Don't get me wrong, there are some very good restaurants on the DDP, but there are very few on the DDP that I would call excellent.

What is the phone number please?

I just called the Boathouse directly to ask about side items. They said their menu doesn't change because of the dining plan. If you're on the dining plan you get a non alcoholic drink, a entree and a dessert. If you order a steak that comes with no side items, that is all you get the steak. If you want side items fries, vegetable , etc. You will have to purchase them separately as its not included on the dining plan.

Still no reservations showing through Disney, but I called directly and got one no problem. Same thing with T Rex. I wish you could do this with every restaurant. Disney doesn't seem to offer everything available.

Good! This might discourage people using the DDP. Before you think I am elitist, my DD and her family are using the plan on our next trip. We will just be dining there one night on our own. :yay:
