Kathy has written an excellent blog. I especially want to second her point #4 to be sure you catch the Wishes and Fireworks show. They are spectacular during the party with fireworks going off around the perimeter of the park as well as from the usual directions.

I'd like to add another etiquette point similar to Kathy's comment about iPads and being conscious of those behind you -- if you have a child on your shoulders, please do not then stop in front of others. Your child has a great view, but the folks behind you can't see anything.

I would also remind people with cameras to be mindful of the folks behind them. I've seen people holding DSLRs up blocking the view, too. It's like a domino effect. Someone in the front holds up their photographic device, then everyone else has to raise theirs so they can get the shot they want, too.

With the construction at the Poly, where would you suggest watching the Wishes/Fireworks from outside of the park. I generally like the dock beside Narcoosee's at the GF but would like to get a photo of the perimeter fireworks from across the lagoon.

Good question Jack. Val & I stayed at the Poly on Wednesday night and the construction has limited some of the good spots. However, the Poly dock area should still be good. Perhaps you'd do better over by the ferry boat dock at TTC. Not sure.
