new blog: Some Dos and Don'ts of Frozen Summer Fun

Thanks for this info! I can't wait to get to DHS this summer. My niece and my parents are going to love all of this! :goodvibes

DON’T spend money on the Frozen Fun Summer Premium Package. This package costs $59 for adults and $34 for children. It includes reserved viewing for the parade, reserved seating for the Sing-Along Celebration, and a dessert party during the fireworks show.

As previously mentioned, it’s debatable whether the parade is worth your time even with reserved viewing. The Sing-Along certainly is fun, but getting in line for this event early enough can secure you adequate seats. And while desserts and beverages are great, they aren’t necessary to enjoy the fireworks show. In fact, the dessert area is pushed to the side of Hollywood Boulevard, whereas prime viewing for the explosives is much further back in the center of the street.

Me thinks this should get interesting. popcorn::

Guess that's 1 persons view.

I don't let 1 or 100 people's opinions concern me. Too each their own, right? My sister and her family are there now, they had their planned HS day yesterday. With the premium package. They loved it. So much so that they have added another HS day to their plans and only doing 1 day at MK.

Nice blog post. I like reading different opinions! Still torn on the package myself, we will see.

I disagreed with much of that blog post...my review is on another of these threads but in short my group (all teens and 20s) really enjoyed the processional and stage show, loved our reserved seating and loved the dessert party and our reserved area there too. We also loved (overuse of word there) the Sing a long but it seems like seats were pretty readily available even last minute there although having the front and center seating added to our enjoyment.

I am curious if the person who wrote this blog actually used the premium package? It doesn't seem like they did to me. Does anyone know for sure?

I don't believe so

If they didn't I am not sure how much stock you can put in the premium package being a don't. I would much rather hear feedback from people that used it. I think alot of people are assuming that the premium package is no good based on the bad reviews it was given during SWW. I think you have to look at this as a completely separate event. I watched the fireworks via youtube from someone who was viewing from the premium viewing area and it looked pretty magical to me.

Count me among those who actually loved the SWW premium package (and I can't wait to try the Frozen version)! The fireworks viewing area is good, by no means perfect, but it was lovely enjoying the drinks/desserts and seeing the fireworks without being shoulder-to-shoulder with people.
