hhmm either no one believes the info, or people are at a loss for words, which I find hard to believe in the Disney fan community

I, for one, don't hold Iger responsible for the mess WDW is in, I hold Jay Rusulo and Meg Crofton responsible. I think Tom Staggs has done a decent job of running the parks and resorts division of the company. If Iger leaves earlier than anticipated, I hope he takes Rusulo and Meg Crofton with him. It can only mean good things for WDW I believe.

I thought it was a good column. If Iger is going into politics as some believe, why would he take anyone of real value with him? Certainly as little as Meg Croften offers to the corporate world, it's even less in the political arena. I think your worst fear may come true, they will gain even more power when he leaves.

I posted something on FB about this. It's very interesting. There is no indication that Lassiter is interested in Iger's job, but if Iger's replacement is a Lassiter choice I think this could bode VERY well for all Disney fans

I heard this rumor on the podcast a few days ago. All I can say is one can only hope. While I think Iger has been good for the "business" of Disney after Eisner was ushered out, I think he really has let WDW slide. It's a completely taken for granted asset in my mind and thus no real vision has been injected into the resort. From the crummy dining plan, to stagnation of Epcot, to the fact that 2 of the parks are really half-day parks - the attitude is just like the blogger says, "what do they know? they're tourists..."

I just hope there's some real bold moves to spruce up all the parks. MK needs a lot of attention, Epcot is a shell of it's former self, the other two are half-day parks.
