new blog: Epcot’s Behind the Seeds Tour in Fall and Spring

Thanks Jack.
Like you, I also have a black thumb. But I still enjoy learning about the growing methods they use in the Land Pavilion, as well as all the research that happens there. I think a lot of people are not aware that the Land (and the Seas and Animal Kingdom, just to name a few) is home to quite of bit of scientific research. And the cast members behind the scenes (or in this case, behind the seeds...:rolleyes1) are actual scientists in their fields- not just minimum wage earners who learned the script for the tour.

We've taken this tour twice as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would even do it again. I agree it's a nice respite when the parks are busy or when it's wickedly humid. Plus you get to learn some cool new facts to show off to your friends! :thumbsup2

Our guide in May was named Bill (I think) and is a microbiologist. His job, he said, was to figure out problems with the plants. He was captivating and extremely knowledgeable but was very down to earth.
