Disney’s response to the lawsuit alleging Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) discriminates against individuals who have some degree of cognitive impairments. Disney’s response essentially asserts that the lawsuit has no merit and should be dismissed. But to be honest, the response is mostly boring, though that isn’t a bad thing, legally.

Once again jack dose a great job of making his blog interesting and educational. So great job jack until the next law suit against Disney or hopefully we get one against universal :). So we get another burgin blog and appearance by mr burgin on the disunplugged.

I fell their are some merit to the lawsuit based on my own experiences with some CM when it comes to accommodations at WDW and discrimination. I do fell the DSA does need some work. But without telling Disney what is working and what is not working how can they address it.

You don't need to sue Disney to tell them what working or what not working they will listen other ways. I am sure jack will come on and be a better person to explain why this case has no merit and why the das is a good system and is dose not discriminate or violate the Ada. I leave that up to the best lawyer in the country and the man responsible for teaching chip and dale their dance moves.

Disney Dave your right you don't need to sue Disney to tell them what's working or not working. I said that a general statement that applies to any issues at Disney.

as far as the lawsuit goes more power to the family's who filed it either way I can't wait to see what will be the outcome of it.

I personally fell Disney changed the system after the coverage of them jerks abusing the system. As far as the DAS it need work in my opinion as well as some cast member need a little more training with dealing with people with disability's

I agree - I hope that Jack appears on a future show to explain some of this to us and to give us his opinion.

The trouble is once there's a lawsuit in place any potential for open dialogue becomes severely limited, since anything they say can be admissible as evidence.

They have made changes to das since the roll out now if you ap it good for 60 days and other changes. And Disney will keep make changes with guest feed back they made that change after guest complain and they didn't need to sue to get it. Yes their ate cms that need to be retrained just like any company if you get a bad cm get their name time department ride ask to speak to a manager and go from their then go to guest services and write Disney and they will contact you and go over what happened and to make it right. Disney dose listen and they make changes and if their wrong they fix it but most time people don't like changes.

These are they people that before the das came out that tried to get people together to protest at Disneyland in the day they rolled it out but couldn't as they couldn't get enough people.
