Thank you for this! I've been unhappy about the fact that I had to book us at AKL instead of our beloved BCV for our end of August trip this year. We didn't think we were going to be able to take a vacation this year, but decided a couple of weeks ago that we can do it. Of course at this point BCV was not available, so I made the ressie at AKL and waitlisted for BCV. After reading your blog, I feel a little better about staying at AKL if our waitlist doesn't come through.
