new blog: Construction update on Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

I always enjoy Kathy's reports - though it about panicked DW when I told her Pooh and Tea Cups are not open. She made me look up when the rehab is supposed to be done.

I'm so glad Small World is back open. And it looks like Pooh and Teacups will be open by the time we get there...14 more days! I was a little worried about Fantasyland, but Kathy's pics look like it's alot better than the last pics I saw.
I'm very curious to see how they worked the tree in at the Pooh ride.

Great blog as always !

But, rats.... I was *really* hoping they were going to replace that black acoustical tile ceiling in IASW. :headache:

I don't know why it bothers me so, but it does... It just looks so tacky.

Ahh, well.

I was looking at that the other day when I went back. Wonder why they chose that for the ceiling?

On huge disappointment in IASW for me was the blue room (where the South Pacific countries are represented, you know where the 3 platypus are) paint job, it was horrible. It looks like they ran out of paint as they were starting the second coat. Matter of fact, it looked so bad I was going to mention something about it in City Hall.

Maybe they wanted to keep that 1964 World's Fair industrial look and feel? Back in 64 ceiling tiles were revolutionary!! The only way it would be better is if they were made from asbestos.

I was there last week, and I must say I like the rehab.
