“What was I thinking when I scheduled this a month ago?” I question myself with my head in my hands. Staring at the web page of a Disney Cruise planning guide, my brain goes numb. There is so much information at my fingertips. It is the type of thing that would normally make the neurotic planner in me start salivating in delight, but right now it is taking everything I have to keep myself from crying.

What a wonderful, emotional, and well written piece. I APPLAUD JL for sharing something so intimate about her life and talking about taking that cruise that her family really needs right now.

Way to go, JL! So glad you're part of the team - looking forward to hearing more about your love of Disney travel and seeing you on the podcast!

JennyLynn, I would like to share a story with you. I like you went on a trip that included DW and a cruise right after my divorce 7 years ago. At the time I had three children (well lets say two teenagers and a 21 year old in college). I became a single dad with all the responsibilites of finishing raising my two daughters and son. Disney was always my happy place to go and relax and destress. I had for years traveled with neighbors who where more like family then neighbors over the years. They joined me and my kids on what I called my freedom trip. It was a wonderful trip and really got my mind off of the everyday things. Fast forward to today I have found the most lovely and compasionate women one could want. She is supportive and we are a match made in heaven. In fact we have been married for a few years now and where married at Disney and celebrated the wedding at the world with all of our family. When I need to relax I still go to disney world and do that and now I have a great women with me. I still remember the trip 7 years ago as do my kids but we all feel it was a new beginning and I am so glad that I did it.
