I’m going to take you along on a walking tour of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. It is currently undergoing lots of exciting changes. I am lucky enough I can visit the resorts whenever the mood strikes me so I thought I would keep everyone up to date with photos of the resort as the construction continues.

I don't know how I would feel about paying the amount the Poly charges and staying in a construction zone basically.

I have to say Kathy, I feel lucky to have you there so that I can see pictures of what it looks like. The new bungalows out on the lake continue the theme of the Poly really well I have to say. The view of the Kingdom can't be beat. And there are some areas where you can still see the beauty of this resort. You captured it with your photos beautifully.

Hope they do finish this next year so that we can enjoy the new Polynesian without the inconvience.

I feel the more you know about the construction the better informed you can be when making the judgment to stay at the Poly. I don't know how WDW could have done it differently except for closing the resort. If you lowered the price you would still have people complaining. It is going to be beautiful when it is finished.

Very true on all points. Have to say I am impressed that they are giving their visitors some options.

I enjoy Kathy's walking tour photo blogs immensely and can't get enough of them. Whether it's about construction or just about the resort itself, its fun to be transported to WDW for a few moments.

GREAT job explaining step by step what's going on around the Poly. We stayed there in June, before the pool closure. There was definitely construction going on but it didn't detract from our experience.

It's great to give potential guests a good solid idea of what to expect.
