Just signed a contract for BWV and we're very excited and are anxiously awaiting the closing process. Here are some questions I have:

on vacation, my kids are soda drinkers since they never get it at home. I'm guessing that there's DVC refillable soda mugs at each resort?

DVC shirts and other merchandise to purchase - I take it this is available once I get my membership number on a website? It's also available at the resorts correct?

Views to request at BWV - I saw a thread that had a great color, outlined visual of what a standard and preferred view was. Anyone direct me to that thread?

when was BWV last renovated? I see that the pull out's have new mattresses which is always good but just wondering when the resort was renovated.

What is Concierge serivce (I know what a concierge is) but I have seen this on some posts and wondered if you had to book a certain room, etc or how/what it is for a DVC member. I know on the ship you have to be on a certain deck/category.

Clip art that everyone has in their signature line -- where did you get this and did you just copy/paste or how did you insert it into the signature line.

I know -- silly questions but I appreciate anyone's help. Thanks!

You can purchase the standard refillable mug at any of the resorts.

None really available online, limited selection at WDW as well. I hear OKW might have the best selection. SSR had a bit when we were there.

It's a booking level mostly for non-DVC deluxe resorts which allows you access to a private lounge, some food/snacks, itinerary planning and a few other perks. No concierge available for DVC at Beach Club Villas, Animal Kingdom Villas is the only DVC resort that you can book concierge.

Try link that follows; Think this may be what you were referring to re views being outlined, etc. (see post #4 by Jekjones1558)

Each resort has refillable mugs to use (& reuse) at that particular resort.

DVC merchandise is sometimes for sale on ebay sold by individuals, not by DVC. Each DVC resort gift shop usually has some DVC merchandise available although in past recent months there seems to be a decline in what is offered; some have speculated that this may be due to a change in DVC logo in near future.

Concierge is only available at AKV in the units at Jambo House that are designated in that category (these units are highest points per night). If you reserve Concierge you have access to Concierge lounge where breakfast items are offered in morning ( ie coffee, juices, cereals, pastries ), light snacks during afternoon hours and evening offerings which may be things like riblets or chicken wings or stew - these usually reflect the offerings at Boma & Jiko, cheeses, veggies & dip. Later in the evening there are desserts, liquours available. Also, daily housekeeping is provided.

Welcome Home!

They do, but we find them inconvenient. We choose to purchase bottles of soda for the room instead of the mugs. Since DVC units have fridges it is so much easier to just head there for a drink instead of all the way to the mug refill location (which sometimes requires a bus ride or a very long walk).

DVC shirts and other merchandise to purchase - I take it this is available once I get my membership number on a website? It's also available at the resorts correct?
Yes, you can get it at any DVC resort. There is no website for DVC merchandise. You could possibly also get it through WDW mail order, but you'd have to know exactly what you wanted to purchase.

Views to request at BWV - I saw a thread that had a great color, outlined visual of what a standard and preferred view was. Anyone direct me to that thread?
At the Boardwalk we always choose either the Boardwalk or Standard View. We don't care to overlook the pool (scary clown!) and some of the garden views don't have much of a view at all, IMO.

when was BWV last renovated? I see that the pull out's have new mattresses which is always good but just wondering when the resort was renovated.
Can't help with this one.

Concierge service allows guests to use a dedicated lounge that has snacks/beverages. It also offers assistance with dining reservations and some perks (Sunrise Safari) only open to Concierge guests. As far as DVC goes, it is only offered at the AKV. There are very few Concierge rooms there, however, and they can be very difficult to book.

Clip art that everyone has in their signature line -- where did you get this and did you just copy/paste or how did you insert it into the signature line.
There are some threads here with the clip art codes in them. Or you can right click on the one you want and save it that way.

I know -- silly questions but I appreciate anyone's help. Thanks!

Hope that helps!
